Need help with a wine fridge controller board.

    Model: Frigidaire FFWC18L2QB
    Board: FX101B PCB16006F1 110 HANYI

This fridge was turning on, but wouldn't cool and the fans wouldn't spin in the back. Removed the back panel and found two controller boards and a power supply. The controller board at the top had burn marks under two heatsinked transistors (photo titled Top_Left). They said 13005D on them. I could not find those in America, so after a lot of googling and cross checking datasheets it looks like E13005 are replacments. Tested them with the diode setting and they both look good.

Put the board back in and just got several beeps. So I disonnected that control board and slowly started connecting cables one by one. Turns on and all fans spin with all cables connected except for the peltier device.

My curiosity got the better of me and I put my hand on the headsinks to see if they were warm, and I got an electrical shock. Oddly everything was still running. No fuse has blown out.

Checked all diodes, they look fine. The resisters connected to the mosfats that blew are ok as well. No sure what to check next.

13005 aka MJE13005 aka PHE13005 etc. The MJE, FJP, PHE13005 and PHD13005 (with body diode) you can get tons at DigiKey, Mouser, etc. Maybe put a 13007 in? These 1300x are NPN transistors.

The D in 13005, like 13005D, is the gain (hfe) of that device.

Oh! Btw… clean that black crap off on the back off the PCB. If push comes to shove, use Acetone.

In this board, all those Chinese electrolytic capacitors were more likely to suffer from such heat from the radiator!

I already bought the E13005 and put them in. Are they the wrong replacement and why the heatsink shocked me?

Will try the acetone. So far tried goo-gone, 91% ipa and naptha.

Some power supplies have a "live heat sink" That's one of the reasons why you should be very careful on the primary side of a power supply. Keep in mind that the center pin and the tab are connected together in this device and are the Collector. So yes, it's gotta have power to it. Would this heat sink be grounded and didn't isolate the tab from the heat sink, the 13005 blows as soon as you turn the PSU on.

Tankless hot water heater controller board not powering up when power is applied
            by sam_sam_sam
I recently bought a used tankless hot water heater and the controller board is completely dead no power up when power is applied the display board works however the main controller board does not work correctly at all the fuse is good

I bought a used replacement controller board that also had issues that I was able to fix and now the tankless water heater works correctly now

However I would like to know if I could figure what happened to this controller board if possible

Tomorrow I will take some better pictures of both side of both boards

Haier HVTB18DABB Wine fridge thermoelectric board - bad caps?
            by Jneub007
Hi! Hope you can lend me some advice.
I am attempting to repair a Haier HVTB18DABB thermoelectric wine fridge. Both fans work, but the temps are not changing in the dual zones. Upon inspection, I believe this cap (pictured) and possibly another may be the culprits - based on the base of the caps and what looks to be dried dark liquid at the base. Assuming that is abnormal?

Do you agree and which product do you suggest replacing with?

Very much appreciated! Let me know if more info needed. ...

EPILOG Laser - XS002 controller board
            by Grouickman
            Hello gus,

Just have two XS002 controller board for Epilog laser engraver for repair, looking for any schematic or doc on those board. So far I could only find the "Service training manual", but it's for the whole unit, not specific to the controller board and there is very little info on the board itself.

For instance I don't even have the connectors pinout

            thx.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Trials and Tribulations with M.NT68676.2 LCD Controller board and LVDS Panel
            by WiredRacing
Hey all, want to poke the hive mind here for a technology I must be missing something critical about I can't discern from looking at spec sheets alone.

I have an ATGames Legends Pinball machine, the playfield is a 32" LCD Display. I'm trying to attach an LCD controller to it for direct PC access, as others have been successful.

The LCD is a SPLENDID CD320B01A-350 (I think it's a custom panel for ATGames as google turns up nothing), which is mated to a HV320FHB-N02 (47-6021088) T-CON board (this is probably the important component anyhow)

            The LCD...
