No and yes; the GPU seemed to be fried, and I decided to go the route of an NVMe to oculink external GPU. I bought an MSI reference Vega 56 8 GB (undervolted and overclocked vram), the riser, Oculink cable, and the nvme adapter for around 150 dollars, and I just use the laptop as a desktop now. extremely janky, and the performance is like 10% worse than the 3050 ti, but it gets the job done and was way less expensive than getting the entire motherboard replaced or getting the GPU fixed or learning how to fix it myself as a complete beginner, so it was a semi-win in the end. If you are to go about this method (assuming you have the same Asus Tuf F15), I'd recommend getting a new GPU like the Vega 56. Even with undervolting + underclocking, it shows its age, but some of this performance loss could be due to CPU bottleneck as this laptop only has 4c8t. I'd also recommend going with a Nvidia GPU because the AMD Radeon Software is absolute shite IMO, especially with older cards. overall 7/10

Hello BadCaps, I'm in desperate need to repair my laptop, no POST, current is fine everywhere on the board, responds to power switch, no display then shut down.
This is an Asus FX516RE-HN001T, Motherboard tag: FX516PC MAINBOARD R2.0, Serial Number: M4NRKD038465161.
Here's a dump of the BIOS .bin file.Attached FilesComment

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..
you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHowDue to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

by mkdjDear all,
I have a ASUS ZenBook UX480F with the following symptoms:
I suspect it is a BIOS issue. So I decided to try to clean the ME region. I followed the guide on win-raid, and I believe I have done everything correctly. My problem is: when I open the outimage.bin in ME Analyzer, it says that it is Extracted, and not Region, Extracted as it should be. Is it normal, or did I do something not correctly? This is my first experience editing BIOS files.
I would appreciate if someone could take time to explain the issue, so that I can learn. But I would...-

by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

by piratiHello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...-

by DynaxSCHi,
I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.
Usually on ASUS boards it worked...-

by AhariHi all,
This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.
I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.
I...-
