No and yes; the GPU seemed to be fried, and I decided to go the route of an NVMe to oculink external GPU. I bought an MSI reference Vega 56 8 GB (undervolted and overclocked vram), the riser, Oculink cable, and the nvme adapter for around 150 dollars, and I just use the laptop as a desktop now. extremely janky, and the performance is like 10% worse than the 3050 ti, but it gets the job done and was way less expensive than getting the entire motherboard replaced or getting the GPU fixed or learning how to fix it myself as a complete beginner, so it was a semi-win in the end. If you are to go about...

  • Asus FX516PC "No Storage Device Present"

I recently flashed my Asus Tuf Dash F15 (2021) with a CH341a after having an issue with the laptop not booting for 2 years. After I had flashed the bios, I reinstalled my M.2 SSD that I had removed from the laptop when it stopped booting 2 years ago and booted it up, which took me to the bios instead of booting to the hard drive. In the bios, it says "No Storage Device Present". I turned off the laptop and tried using the other M.2 slot but had the same issue. I suspected the problem was that the SSD was dead so I created a USB Windows 10 Installer and plugged it into another Windows...

  • Asus Tuf Dash F15 (FX516PC Rev 4.0) IC chip no longer able to be read

I recently ordered a CH341a to try and fix my 2021 Tuf Dash F15 after seeing a video about Asus laptops being diagnosed as having fried mobos when they have corrupted bios. After following the steps from a YouTube video and flashing the IC chip (W25R128JVSQ; detected as a W25Q128BV on AsProgrammer) the laptop booted up for the first time in 2 years. I looked around my room for the M.2 drive I had removed from it and as soon as I came back the laptop had turned off. I assumed it automatically turned off due to inactivity but when I pressed the power button, the backlight and power button would...
