Ahhh, yes, that makes sense. Used CH341A but with clip. D'oh. I was under the assumption that if the chip detected properly and the read appeared to complete without error and verified, then it should be fine. Will desolder and try flashing your BIOS again.

Fucking SOIC clip. Damn, try to save a few minutes and end up wasting hours. Thanks peste, your BIOS worked once I soldered directly to CH341a.

Well, I hope this will be a lesson for many members that use the clip and do in system reading and programming. Never ever use the clip.
I don't provide help for people using CH341A and a clip.

Yes, I've used it many times and never had an issue but this experience has put me off it for good. Thanks all.

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware
              by Ahari
              Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

              I...

Need unlocked BIOS dump for W25Q64FV (Admin Password removal)
              by dell_bios
              Hi everyone,
I'm working on removing an administrative BIOS lock (Supervisor/Admin Password) on a laptop.
The board has three SPI flash chips:
              - W25Q64FV (main BIOS)
              - W25Q32FV (EC/TPM)
              - W25X10CL (configuration)

I was able to read the dump from the W25Q64FV chip, CRC32 = 0x3DE23E27.
The dump contains protection that needs to be removed.

If anyone has a clean or unlocked BIOS dump for W25Q64FV, I’d really appreciate it!
I’m also happy to share my dump for comparison if needed.

              Laptop model: [please specify, e.g....

ASUS ZenBook UX480F : need help with cleaning the ME region of my BIOS dump
              by mkdj
              Dear all,
I have a ASUS ZenBook UX480F with the following symptoms:

I suspect it is a BIOS issue. So I decided to try to clean the ME region. I followed the guide on win-raid, and I believe I have done everything correctly. My problem is: when I open the outimage.bin in ME Analyzer, it says that it is Extracted, and not Region, Extracted as it should be. Is it normal, or did I do something not correctly? This is my first experience editing BIOS files.

I would appreciate if someone could take time to explain the issue, so that I can learn. But I would...

I need a BIOS dump for the Samsung S49CG934SU monitor
              by Habble7
The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

              Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

              Troubleshooting Attempts:
