            Maybe because of CH341.
            The serial killer BIOS programmer.

Did you unsolder or read with clip?
            Did you rewrite over it?

            Bad solder joints, torn resistors.
It could be due to many things.

When I first received the laptop for repair, I powered it on and saw that it was locked. I turned it off and began the unlocking process. However, after I first removed both chips, read their contents, and soldered them back onto the board, on the next power-on attempt the laptop would no longer display an image (power LED stays on for 5 seconds, off for 5 seconds).

This morning, out of curiosity, I decided to try again. I noticed that the CPU was heating up, so I thought everything was fine. However, on the second power-on – after connecting the display – the laptop again refused to start.

I decided to try one method: I placed the motherboard in the fridge for 15 minutes, then powered it on again. Amazingly, the laptop started, displayed an image, and I shut it down using the power button. When I tried to power it on again, it wouldn’t start.

Is there anything that can be done in this case?
I have exactly the same issue as you but I didn't try a fridge yet... 😀
I'm wondering if the on board memory chips are not loosing connection when soldering or desoldering a BIOS from the board... I think they are just on the other side of the board.

I'll give it a close look later on today but it's suspicious that it's not the first board is getting damaged because of removing BIOS chip process.

This is my original post and what I've tried.

+1 to the dead laptop count on this model and the 14" variant here on this forum, if you only read the BIOS chips without desoldering (clip/pogo pin adapter) then I suspect cracked solder balls on the CPU, check previous page of this thread, same symptoms after only reading BIOS chips without flashing anytning
Probably poor quality "low temperature" solder used by Lenovo
See posts 89,90 above, majster_pl managed to fix his 14 G2 ITL by reflowing the CPU, that was about a month ago, same story, his laptop also had password
Disclaimer: Reflowing the CPU may make things worse

Maxpower3 maybe we should figure out a software method to dump the BIOS region on this model to extract the pass, as long as the laptop only has Admin pass, FPT could work

I don't have this PC handy to run tests.
Check if the padding appears in my USB program today.
It creates a save.txt file on the USB drive after reading the variables.
FTP could also be a solution.
