Re: Extract bios password from EliteBook 840 G8 Bios dump, possible?
I don't understand why I have to look at post #237?
So the chip I found is not the right one?
Thank youComment

The man who attach his EC file in Post #237 named the EC Chip U366, so I tell you to see if your Chip is labeled as U366 on the board or not. Otherwise if you can upload the 2 Chips do it. *Chips could be in SOIC/WSON Package*----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[QUOTE=hardware1;1213034]Yes, you should desolder it and use a WSON adapter, or you can use WSON clip (I don't prefer that).
Ok so I desoldered, I managed to read something where I see the model of the computer and the brand does that mean that the dump worked?
but I was wrong, it's an 845 g8Comment

[QUOTE=MaC_ToC;1213924]Here's your Unlocked Bios, in the first boot go to Bios Menu and disable security options (Default).
If the Password still present, upload the other Chip (Main).
Your device is (HP EliteBook 845 G8) according to your Serial Number (5CG1511WMY).Last edited by SMDFlea; 03-26-2023, 01:11 PM.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try new OS, Bios update or another battery to know where's the problem.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

by traxformaniaHello,
I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :

by NopslideHello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....-

by outsiderHello
I removed the BIOS password thanks to the help of one of the friends of this forum.

The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but...-

by Habble7The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
