Re: Lenovo V130-15IKB bios dump
I don't know, if the problem is because bios, there are only 2 states: working or not working, there can't be such a flickering phenomenon. Try replacing the bios chip with a new one and see how it works.

I'm not sure. You check their data sheet to see if they are similar. voltage for example.

Your bios version is 8VCN**WW ,use a bios from this thread, copy your DMI from your backup to the new bios using a hex editor, and the password will be gone

You can follow this one - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=98038 ,if you follow that to the end then you`ll have no problem with this V130-15IKB DMI

by AHmad_SalalHello all,
I have a Lenovo Thinkstation P500 that is stuck at post with no display, it happened after I changed the memory timings in bios. I can not clear CMOS using the jumper on the motherboard, also tried re-flashing bios suing a USB stick but it also doesn't work. The only solution that I can think of right now is re-flashing the bios chip using an external programmer but the problem is that I don't have the bios dump of p500 for flashing externally and I don't know the location of bios chip. If someone can provide the bios dump and bios chip location it would be really helpful....-

by hyperwoodHi everyone,
I’m looking for a 2 MB BIOS dump for a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 16ARH7H / Legion 5 with mainboard NM-E471 Rev. 2.0.
The BIOS chip is a Winbond W25Q16FW (1.8V, 2MB) and it's completely unresponsive / bricked. I tried recovery via USB but no success. Now I want to reflash it externally using a CH341A programmer.
I already found 32MB dumps (e.g. from Vinafix and Badcaps), but they are too large for the chip – and the last 2MB in those files are just FF FF FF....
✅ What I need:- A working 2MB BIOS dump
- Matching NM-E471 Rev. 2.0, e.g. JY575

by Barny2025I recently purchased this Yoga 11e which stated on the listing just a cmos error upon boot, by time seller sold it to me, it had been a good few weeks and it had completely run low and I mean 0.3 low, so somehow the bios corrupted and upon turn om after replacing the cmos it was blank screen, so I tried pulling the bios and re-writing it back on after then buying a cha341 programmer thing, to even worse black screen with beeping, I then used the official bios provided by Lenovo posted by Badcaps and it was working partly, so I got display and then just 1 error, the 0381: CRC EFI error, and passworded...

by Habble7The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

by JoluvillasHi all! I was reading on tutorials how to flash a bios to remove password from a bios, and I ended up reading the EC chip instead of the main bios chip, it only gave me a .bin file of 1,024kb, I learned later that that is the EC chip not the main bios chip (I should have read the tutorials here instead before attempting anything, my bad), I went to flash the original backup, the 1,024kb size file into the same chip and laptop is not powering up anymore. I may have screwed the chip or even the motherboard (Hopefully not), I am trying to see if there is a fix before I discard it. I had a couple...
