Re: Dell 7300 locked bios
Why don't you read the whole thread carefully, there's only 3 pages, shouldn't be so difficult right?
Hint:
It'll help you to understand some nuances about exactly which file is needed to make the unlock happen/possible.

.it's the WSON8 chip UC5, right? Need to wait another couple of weeks for a suitable adapter, then.. cause trying to attach the SOP8 clip will just end up breaking it...

I refurb Dell laptops and I have 9 Latitude 7300 lease returns, all with 8FC8 locks. I usually pay ** USD each for an 8FC8 unlock code to a service in ** you guys are probably familiar with but I've decided to do BIOS programming and save money. Bought programming tools, discovered BadCaps and have successfully unlocked one of these Dells using the helpful dumps in this thread. However, now I've got a new problem: W11P won't install - it freezes every time after 30 sec or so with a blue screen. I've tried everything I can think of to solve this and nothing works. Is this problem out of scope for help from you guys in this forum or can you offer some advice? Any help is appreciated. DonComment

OK, I'll post that, but I loaded several "clean" dumps that were unlocked, let me add the as-shipped BIOS ST and showed correct mobo specs. At that point it seemed like the BIOS was as good as new. But not so, you say? Guess I have a lot to learn about BOIS programming. DonComment

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...-

by bmxlovahHi,
My Dell Precision T7910 died after enabling onboard SAS controller and applying RAID settings. There were no hardware changes between working and not working state, only setup (via bios -> controller settings). After applying settings and reboot PC turns on, flash leds (normally) but there's no further action, it just stays on with no graphics and no keyboard led's on. There's no Dell logo, nothing. I've tried resetting bios by jumper, replacing cpu's, replacing ram, removed/replaced cmos battery, disconnecting all drives etc. I've also dumped .bins from mobo chips SLI1 (16...-
