I just flashed this "A15R3_Bios.rar" above but it is only the newest bios update 1.17 which does not fix my issues.

Looks like all firmware in this forum has administrative lock

I flashed both UE2 and UH4 all the time and each one of them has admin bios lock

Is there a password suffix on the screen when you enter the wrong password

Hi, not sure if someone will still reply to this topic but i also got a Alienware 15 R3 with a i7 7700HQ and a GTX 1070. The latest bios update does not let me undervolt, i managed to unlock the options with AMIBCP but i found out that there is no way of flashing it with FPT, AFU etc.. So my only option would be to use a CHA341 SPI Programmer. If i understood post #28 right, the 25B128CSIG bios IC is actually a W25Q128FVSIQ? I hope someone could confirm it before i decide to flash my modded bios to it.

I just tried to read my IC with W25Q128FV selected manually but no luck. In AsProgrammer V2.1.0.13 it just reads F, and in NeoProgrammer v2.2.0.10 it says IC not responding / Disconnected. I already had the 3.3v mod on my cha341, the bios chip was actually still soldered on the motherboard while trying to read it but i don't think that should be a issue.

Edit: after desoldering the BIOS IC i managed to read and write on it. However, if you try to unlock options with AMIBCP and reflash the bios, the laptop will tell you that the rom is invalid and could not be updated. I also tried unlocking CFG Lock and Overclock Lock only to be able to undervolt but no luck.. And that’s probably because most of these models have intel boot guard i believe, tell me if i’m wrong. I ended up flashing the original bios back and leave it as it is. I did manage to unlock the GPU vbios with Pascal TDP Tweaker, after i flashed the modified bios with the CH341A programmer.

Hi I have my old Alienware 15 r3 turns on sometimes with no display, 2 red ligths 7 beeps. These means problems with display, already changed flex cable. Original was ok tough. Back in 2020 i already flashed this bios posted and fixed the problem. Now again i am facing the same issue. Need to turn on and off too many times until it has picture. Leave 2 bios inside, one is the last one i had. And the other one used to be the original dump.
Would be great if somene could help me
