I have this dell with black screen after bios update,

I did find the bin file here but find the chip type in the programmer or even on the net

I did try ASprogtammer but can't figure which setting to use

Hello guys im in need of a bios to use with programmer.

Alienware 15 r3 ( i7 6700hq- gtx 1060 )

prefer version 1.10.0

my problem is usb ports + webcam + lights not working.
also regular bios updating through ez flash wont work.
With programmer i've tried older versions from this forum but no success. this backup is 1.5.0, i wanna try 1.10.0 to see if it will solve the issues...

nop doesnt work. 3 red lights 1 blue. after a while it comes on back to 1.5.0

Try these.Flash the EC as well if you have a programmer for it.

thanks ! yes i got ch341a programmer, this is fine for it yes ?

please check my post in laptops, can u point me out wich is the EC to flash ?

i flashed bios, also give 2 red 1 blue light.

not sure how to flash EC. I connected the ch341a programmer and chip is recognized but on reading it just gives F only. not sure i shoud write in that case..

Try NeoProgrammer. Are you using a clip or have you desoldered the chip

with neopgrammer same, i can identify chip but not read or write. im using clip, the clip working fine on the bios chip. can u confirm EC chip is UE2. foto is on my topic from laptops forum.

Desolder it if you can,its the most reliable way. You have some adapters for it ? . Do you have the ch341a black edition,can you check the voltage and make sure it hasn`t got 5V on pin 28.You may need to modify it so it only uses 3.3V https://www.chucknemeth.com/usb-devi.../3v-ch341a-mod .Its possible to flash the EC with the ch341a you`ll need to solder wires to the JEC connector.

Yes i can desolder no problem, thanks il look into that link. Yes its black edition i think. Attached foto, this is included adapter?
