I got AsRock Z270M EXTREME 4 that recently stopped working, culprit is missing vcore voltage. I'd like to know if there is a boardview for this motherboard.

Hello everyone,
Long story, but i have a gaming laptop that i did not use for a while but i forgot the bios password i set on it so i cannot use it.. It would ask me that every time when i power the laptop on. I made a backup of my bios with the CH341A programmer, i would appreciate any help!... -
Edit: after desoldering the BIOS IC i managed to read and write on it. However, if you try to unlock options with AMIBCP and reflash the bios, the laptop will tell you that the rom is invalid and could not be updated. I also tried unlocking CFG Lock and Overclock Lock only to be able to undervolt but no luck.. And that’s probably because most of these models have intel boot guard i believe, tell me if i’m wrong. I ended up flashing the original bios back and leave it as it is. I did manage to unlock the GPU vbios with Pascal TDP Tweaker, after i flashed the modified bios with the CH341A p...Leave a comment:

I just tried to read my IC with W25Q128FV selected manually but no luck. In AsProgrammer V2.1.0.13 it just reads F, and in NeoProgrammer v2.2.0.10 it says IC not responding / Disconnected. I already had the 3.3v mod on my cha341, the bios chip was actually still soldered on the motherboard while trying to read it but i don't think that should be a issue.Leave a comment:

Hi, not sure if someone will still reply to this topic but i also got a Alienware 15 R3 with a i7 7700HQ and a GTX 1070. The latest bios update does not let me undervolt, i managed to unlock the options with AMIBCP but i found out that there is no way of flashing it with FPT, AFU etc.. So my only option would be to use a CHA341 SPI Programmer. If i understood post #28 right, the 25B128CSIG bios IC is actually a W25Q128FVSIQ? I hope someone could confirm it before i decide to flash my modded bios to it.

Edit: i decided to disassemble the battery pack (4 cells) and measured voltage from each cell and i get around 3.98v. When i measure from the battery connector i get nothing. So i think that a component on the pcb where the battery cells are connected is defective.
I also measured voltage from the battery connector on the motherboard with the battery removed.
pin 1, 2 and 3: voltage fluctuates between 2.61-3.80v
pin 4: voltage fluctuates between 3.18-3.20v

I measured voltage from pin 15 and i get a voltage that fluctuates between 0-120 millivolts, same thing when battery is connected. I confirmed that the battery is dead, i tried recharging it with a adapter but after a couple hours it was still refusing to output any voltage....Leave a comment:

[REQUEST] Unlocked Bios/vBios for Medion Erazer P7643
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for someone that could help me to get a unlocked bios for my laptop. I want to see if there is a possibility increase the cpu multiplier or bclk clock. I know the risks, my temperatures are around 60 degrees so i still have some headroom. My laptop also has a GTX 950M but the core clock is limited at a offset of +135 mhz. I know that it's possible to extend the limit but i'm not really experienced with bios modding. Anyone that is able to help me ?
I used AFUWIN to save the bios.

I have a problem, i desoldered the bios ic and reflashed it with a SPI programmer because I wanted to get rid of bios password. I didn’t use this laptop for a while so i forgot the password. I soldered the ic back and tested it and it was all good, i noticed that 1 pin was not fully soldered on to the board so i did the soldering process again. And after that my pc would not turn on, the weird thing is.. if i plug the charger in, the keyboard backlight would turn on by itself, but the led indicator doesn’t show that my laptop...Last edited by Jasonexe; 04-29-2023, 03:54 AM.Leave a comment:

Hi,
I'm hoping that there's someone that will be able to help me. I have a ASUS GL503VD, when i go to the bios it asks me for a password. I don't remember it because i didn't use the laptop for a while. I wanted to remove the password by reflashing the bios. I desoldered the bios IC and I erased/reprogrammed the bios IC with the CHA341a programmer. The bios file type is CAP, i used UEFITools to get a rom file of it. The bios IC is MX25L6473F. Yes, i still noticed a problem. I can use the laptop with the charger but once i unplug it, my pc will turn off instantly. Windows is telling that my battery is 100%. I also tried measuring the voltage of the battery connector when the laptop is turned on and the voltage fluctuates between 0.6-0.8 volts. When i listen carefully i can hear a crackling sound close to the battery connector.Leave a comment:

i measured resistance from all inductors with one probe on the drain pins that had low resistance and all the inductors had a higher resistance then 0.6 ohms. I removed the mosfet and i'm still getting the same resistance from drain to ground....Leave a comment:
