I have tried writing FF to some sections of the 128 chip as per some YouTube videos, but it didn't work. Thanks for your help! I have attached the original bin dump of both chips.

            Hello,
I have a defective 840 G7 and I suspect the BIOS being the issue. UEFITool shows yellow and red lines. I guess this means there is an error.
I attach the BIOS image. I do not know whether there is a BIOS password, but I would like not having to flash the 16MB chip if it is not necessary.

Would someone mind fixing the attached BIOS file or even better explaining me how to fix it myself?

            I thank everyone in advance!

                Hello hoaca388,
thank you a lot for creating an image, but somehow it does not work. Now I guess it's not the BIOS that is the issue. After flashing the BIOS, the charging LED stayed lit some longer than before and now, and there was some blinking and changing to orange on the charging LED, but after about a minute it went out, and about two minutes later I cut the power, and now it looks like before. I do not have a eDP display connected, but a display via USB-C and this did not lit up at all. I guess it was not the BIOS that was faulty. But it was a try. Or do you think, there is more we can try?
                Nevertheless thank you!

                                            by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size

                                            Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
                                            Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...

                                            HP Omen 15-dh0052nf power-on & bios password
                                            by Nopslide
Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....

                                            by overclocker1786
Hello I have a dell optiplex SFF plus 7020 with a password that I recovered from e-waste. It is possible to get the password removed via the bios patch method? I managed to dump the 32MB bios chips and would like help patching it to MFG mode so I can clear the password.

                                            Thanks.

A schematic would also be amazing if anyone has one!...
