Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size

    Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
    Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R tab in the main window

Solution: Make sure you check the FLASH radio button on the Save dialog, under "Select buffer", that way only the FLASH region will be saved (which is the region we're interested in), and the backup will have the proper file size
You have to change this option every time you press the Save button, as it resets to DEFAULT every time

For 64 Mbit (8MB) chips, the file size should be exactly 8388608 bytes
For 128 Mbit (16MB) chips, the file size should be exactly 16777216 bytes
For 256 Mbit (32MB) chips, the file size should be exactly 33554432 bytes
For 512 Mbit (64MB) chips, the file size should be exactly 67108864 bytes

If you already have a saved file of the "wrong" size, those extra bytes at the end can be safely trimmed with a hex editor, keeping in mind the correct file size of course

Additional info: Xgpro 12.96 software also appends an additional -Configuration- with a copy of the STATUS registers at the end of the files when DEFAULT is selected at the save dialog
    Example:

The above info still applies, select "FLASH" under "Select Buffer"

        by Citymin
        Hi all,

My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

Acer Aspire 5920G - Requesting Modded BIOS (9600M GT) from .WPH for CH341A Flasher
        by EbrahimSiami
        Hello everyone,
I need help with my Acer Aspire 5920G laptop. Its original GeForce 8600M GT graphics card failed, so I replaced it with an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT MXM card.

**Problem:** The laptop powers on, but there is no display (black screen) on either the internal LCD or external monitor. This indicates a BIOS compatibility issue with the new graphics card.

**What I have tried so far:**
        1. I have my **original stock BIOS dump (1MB .BIN file)** from my laptop, which works and allows the laptop to power on normally (but no display with 9600M...

HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns - Complete Black Screen - Only video on live usb
        by iZakre
        Hello everybody!

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

        .FD BIOS file for AN515-56
        by elmoori
I’m trying to recover my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-56, which currently has a corrupted BIOS and won’t boot. I’ve searched Acer’s website and all I can find is the official BIOS update .exe file.

Inside that .exe, I managed to extract a file called abobios.bin, but there is no .FD file available — the one needed for Acer Crisis Recovery.

I’m looking for someone who has the original .FD BIOS file for this exact model, or any guidance on how to extract it safely from the official update.
