My backup copies corrupted, it should be 1 file 16M.B and the other file 8M.B
But my two files are 8M.B
When i try to open main bios on ME Analyser it give me this errors below:
"Error: firmware is incomplete/corrupted, expected 0x1800000 not 0x800000!"
"Warning: Firmware size exceeds Engine/Graphics region, possible data loss!"

No brother, I used EZP2010-V3.0 and it's read the 16M.B BIOS as only 8M.B.
Now when i try to write the original bios >> keyboard back-light flashing and no data on screen and coolers not working<<
I tried this bios below it's turning on with maximum speed of coolers but with black screen please check it if you can repair itComment

If the programmer can only read the 16MB chip as 8MB don`t you think that it will only write 8MB as well,and in the process corrupt the bios.If the chip isn`t in the support list manually choose another 25Q chip that has same voltage and untick check-ID in the programmer settings,if there is such an option.Comment

I have a Dell XPS-15 (9520) with the LA-L402P motherboard. It seems to have bricked itself after a common BIOS-Firmware upgrade. Now, it just shows BIOS screen for a few seconds before turning-itself back Off (and doesn't seem to be fully Posting). I've done these many times before with no problems.
I was hoping to please have my own-thread to work-through this (hopefully successful) repair as a whole. Apart from the possible need to have a BIOS-dump fixed-up, I have a feeling I'm going to have other questions. This includes using my new XGecu-T76 for the first time (should be here... -
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I am troubleshooting a Dell XPS 12 with motherboard 9Q23 (Compal LA-8821P) that failed during a Windows 10 update. The system powered off abruptly and never booted again. Initial behaviour- No display at any time (internal or external)
- Power button would immediately shut the system off
- System auto-powers when AC adapter is connected (battery removed)
- Beep code: 3 beeps – pause – 3 beeps (continuous)
- Fan never spins
