Read earlier posts .Download both attachments,open both with with a hex editor and do a file compare,there is only one change to make.

[ Microsoft Surface Pro 5 /M1796/ 4gb 128gb /

I dumped bios from my not working chip on my Surface pro 5 ( whenever click power on, the winodws logo would last about 4 seconds, then screen goes to black), the dumped file size only 1Mb ( version 11.6..20.1221 by UFEITOOL). Said "No BIOS region section" when checked by UFEITOOL 0.28.0

And I tried download biso 16Mb from the website (microsoft-surface-pro-5-m1007506-015-clear-me-bios, version 11.8.50.3448)), reflash to chip, pro5 is working properly in everything, but no touch function.

Is there a way to fix touch function?

What did you use to make your backup.As it was getting to the windows logo there wasn`t much wrong with the bios. Its very important to make a good backup of the original bios,theres no way it would only be 1MB and boot to the windows logo.
AFAIK theres no fix yet for the touch screen not working when you flash a different bios,i could be wrong though

I used CH341A programmer to read after removed 25Q128FV-Winbond from PCB. And I used same tool to flash the downloaded BIOS to Chip, then solder bak on PCB.

The only way to unlock it is through the BIOS, it is necessary to post the file after reading.

The whole process is very simple, but it depends on opening the equipment and eprom programmer, tipo CH341A (low cost).

taking out the ssd disk and formatting it on another pc and then installing it on the surface could it let me install window?

It is not that simple, during the installation Windows is set to the machine's defaults.
The installation will probably be incompatible with another device.

It might even work if you had two identical laptops, i.e. of the same model.
It would be much easier to unlock the laptop.

Hi Friend,
I desoldered the IC. On thes chips I could not find an adapter that can connect while it is soldered to mainboard.

Removed it from mainboard. Then soldered on connectivity board with low tempereture solder.
