hp 640 g2 password need bios dump

Hi,

I need a bios dump for a hp 640 g2 with motherboard code 6070B0937802 it has a i5 6300u CPU.


this is the original bios, but I cannot seem to find vss area to clear the password.


Could someone help with a bios dump or try to clean my original one.

I tried to flash an identical model for which I don't have the original bios, but it did not work, turns on but does not post and the fan runs at full speed.

Is there any solution to fix the second laptop?

If its 100% identical model, then this bios should have worked although fan at 100% could be tackled with clean me region. I suspect, not a bios issue.

The tutorial I found on the forum was very well done, easy to follow. Nice community!

I will be waiting for someone to clear the second bios dump I posted or maybe there is a tutorial on the forum for this too and I did not find it?

So, I have tried the bios from the Macronix chip on the Winbond chip and everything works fine.

I have attached the BIOS for Hp 640 g2 - CPU 6300u with cleared ME region for anyone who needs it.

There are plenty of members watching the bios request section,most of the time you`ll get some help within 1 day of posting. Before the Bios Requests and Schematic Requests sections were added to the forum every post went into one place,and it was a mess. I`d say around 80% of all posts before the changes were bios requests,and the other repair requests were getting swamped, senior members abandoned the forum or didn`t log in as often and more posts were going unanswered meaning less help.The forum is much cleaner now , and better for everyone who asks for help or advice.
