Unfortunately it seems the only bios dump out there for the EC is the W25Q64DV. My Studio G3 (Energy Star) has a W25Q80DV EC. Has no one else in these forums have that winbond 80DV dump?

Yes, you need a soic8 programmer. CH341A is one of the cheapest but works well mostly.

I've not been able to get the SOIC8 to connect to the new style Winbond chip in the G3.
The chip has almost no lead legs to make contact with.
Any tips on how to get it to clip in?
