some laptop when we change another GPU not the same model number like original even it's working we have to change some resistance order in motherboard.
in order to indicate the identification of new one (always there is a combination for 3 or 4 accepted models), if we put wrong combination even it's work but we cannot find the same model in windows ,so we have to put the right order for this identification card, any way i think this is i got on Asus for not very old model, i don't know if that exist for alienware we have... -

Not remove resistance, just shift the position of the resistance (moved to the right position ), for give a out listed combination :
-Shift R2019 to R2016 (DRAM_TYPE3) ( that mean DRAM_TYPE3 will have value 1 logical and you will have combination 1.0.1 - out listed)

hi, In page 20 of the schematic there is a table of preconfigured internal memory installed , there are three types of memory accepted (in your motherboard it's a second line of the table- you can check with resistors positions also check there resistance values may be one of them faulty ),so if we give an outbox combination the motherboard will not be able to recognize the memory installed ( I think that) no capacity no type , in this case logically the mobo will switch automatically to the dim2 as a principal , and will work only with...Last edited by kiraro; 04-01-2020, 07:40 PM.Leave a comment:

For activate advanced menu try this:
1-Enter BIOS.
2-Press Fn + Tab. Save and exit.

it's not a LVDS cable problem, it's Edid eeprom (standard 24C02 eeprom ) for the screen should be reprogrammed .
you have to open the screen case and see the model number of the screen to find or create a correct firmware from the datasheet, and flash back the eeprom (don't forget to make a backup first)
Screen output to reprogram eeprom:
Pin 4 ---- VCC
Pin 6 ---- CLK
Pin 7 ---- DATA

you should get 3v through R279 for signal"ADAPTER_SEL_EC" that mean you have select 90w charger type for DIS motherboard , +3PCU->R279(10k)->ADAPTER_SEL_EC(3,3v), For uma motherboard ADAPTER_SEL_EC = 0v that mean 65w charger type through R284, so ADAPTER_SEL_EC should be 3,3v or 0v, in this case you should get 3,3v so check r279 value and check +3pcu on r279 .Leave a comment:

Try uninstall audio driver before and uninstall Intel graphics and use DDU to uninstall nvida.
then begin installation with Intel graphics -> nvidia graphics-> audio, I remember I face something similar in laptop HP and finally it was audio codec have to be uninstalled before installing graphics drivers .

what voltage you get on AD_TYPE (R294),pin67 (U11),also make sure you are using a good connector cable ,sometimes the middle pin for the cable connector for DC_IN it's damaged and no continuity to the board. try the tips a mensionned before if there is a problem with the cable .Leave a comment:

I think the resistance of "Cpu_Vcore" section it's very low, so when the upper side is defected the charger circuit section will block "19v" because it's like a short to ground (exceeded current) for him and never you will find "B+" active in this case.
In my opinion try to change lower side (it's recommended to change both when one of them defected) and the Vrm circuit , and trace power good and reset signals for Cpu ....Leave a comment:
