Re: HP Elitebook 820 G2 bios needed
Thanks for the good advice.
This is my working environment.
os: windows10
programmer: CH341A Mini Programmer
application: AsProgrammer
I referred to here.
https://github.com/boseji/CH341-Store
https://www.onetransistor.eu/2017/08...schematic.html
https://www.onetransistor.eu/2018/11...n-windows.html
Certainly I used clips.
However, there was no error from AsProgrammer, and it seemed that the BIOS was successfully dumped.
Now try removing the MX25L12873F chip from the motherboard.
Is there a way to check with me if the data I dumped is corrupted?Comment

SMDFlea, thanks for your answer, but i did before on another unit with success but this keeps returning the same message whatever i do."ME has been committed it can not be committed again Failed to commit Status = 80000000000007".this with uncommited state and mpm unlocked.

Re: HP Elitebook 820 G2 bios needed
Greeting,
I have a problem with the above mentioned laptop and I hope you can help me. The laptop was working quite normally and then suddenly it started showing symptoms where the white and orange lights change and during that time I can't turn on the laptop. Only after some time when it turns off those lights, I can turn on the laptop but it throws out the following error: "BIOS Identity Data Recovered, The Embedded Controller MUD data is not valid while MPM is locked. Please unlock MPM, and lock again to capture valid MUD data.". Sometimes it also shows the following error: Embedded Controller Recovery, The Embedded Controller Policy Settings have been recovered to their default state. The Embedded Controller Flash was recovered from Shared SPI Flash. I note that I did not touch anything about the bios.
Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this problem? Thanks!Comment

by DynaxSCHi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).
I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...11-17-2023, 10:56 AM -
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to recover a Fujitsu Lifebook E5513 (most likely 2023 model) that was bricked during a BIOS update. The update was interrupted (probably due to power loss), and now the laptop is stuck in a boot loop showing "PBB rollback" / "SBB rollback" messages.
BIOS access (F2) and Boot Menu (F12) are no longer possible – the system instantly reboots after the rollback messages.
I extracted the official BIOS update package from Fujitsu (contains FJNB2FD.CAP, ~18.7 MB) and tried tools like UEFIExtract, but it seems to only contain...-

by vinaypundithI have this laptop that does boot but it's on an older BIOS that has issues with Secure Boot, and I cannot use the normal Razer BIOS updater because for some reason the serial number is missing / got deleted somehow (Common issue on this model, from what I've read). I got a dump of the BIOS chip (or at least what I think is the BIOS chip), and its 16MB in size - the files from the Razer BIOS update are 8MB. (There's two 8MB files, am I supposed to combine these somehow? Or combine with an Intel ME firmware? I have no idea).
So, I'm looking for a BIOS dump for this machine - a 16MB one....-

by Habble7The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
