Still the same issue with 1.29, 25Q128 in correct position.

I plug the CH341A, then the detect works fine, and then ... no erasing or programming works. If I unplug/replug it works x1 time ... then redetect do not work a second time ...

Do you have a link to the 1.29 release + driver you used to successfully program the 25Q128 ?

Try it again, but this time:
1.- Disable any antivirus (your app or the Windows defender)
2.- Try to unzip again your Programmer app, on the first times I use it, one file is detected like virus, and my antivirus automatically disable it (without notification), so after antivirus and firewall disabled, the programmer run properly.

I hop this works for you, otherwise, let me found how can I upload or find the source link where I download.

Hi,

finally changing programer I was able to manage the Winbond chipset.

I successfully flashed EC+BIOS.bin on a 840 G2 (somebody kindly proposed here the 2 fulldump files)

But I've an issue as the Elitebook start in MPM mode (Ok), but then detect issue "not in commited state", reset the bios and restore a config ... and I lost the MPM mode not able to get it back and use wmdmifit tool to enter UUID, SKU etc.

Does somebody successfully recover MPM mode to configure an Elitebook ?

I finally ordered another SPI programmer (EZP2013) as with the CH341 I never successfully programmed the Windbond Q128.

No, after the warning, it was not possible to boot before the bios restored configuration (network etc.) and then the MPM mode was disabled before being able to boot WinME and run winmifit etc.

Finally I got another Bios (here also) of 820 G2 (fully compatible with 840 G2), from somebody asked to clear password ... flashing with bios I got a fully workable laptop (no warning message etc.) BUT, I got also the SKU/Serial of the PC the Bios come from ... and not mine ...

In any case for me the CH341 never worked for the main Bios chip, I tried several release of the software but once detected, then error to communicate ...)

I think this tool can used programming chip without desolder, you can use soicclip as a tool..

The bios provided by RIORENO Page 4 is working and allow to boot and work reuglarly with correct SN/SKU etc. BUT you'll not be able to change them ...

it's take about 18 sec to appear post logo i tried a lot of bios dump but still the same problem can you help me with it
