I used your uploaded BIOS file for the Dell 1555 MB K313M (DA0FM8MB8E0 Rev:E), it works but every time it boots with a message saying "Manufacturing Mode press Fn-X (level 01)", I also updated the service tag but still pops the the same message. I am attaching my old non working dump.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for the upload but this one did not even boot, I revert back to your earlier one, I believe it is the direct extract from the Dell's site, still with same message. Can you show us how to correctly insert DMI data in correct blocks manually from the original dump, or there is any other way to do that; it will be great help.
Pressing Fn + X key should remove the message. If it doesn't, then try the following steps.
Reset BIOS settings to defaults.
Power off the computer
Restart the computer, tap ‘F2' key on the Dell logo
This will take you to the BIOS screen
Press ‘F9' key once, highlight ‘Yes', press ‘Enter'
Press ‘F10' key once, highlight ‘Yes', press ‘Enter'
Let me know how it goes; will take it further.
Thanks Donald, it is done, earlier I was only working with the motherboard, once the customer brought the rest of the Laptop, assembled and pressing Fn+X fixed it; appreciate your help.
I wish I could have saved the activated dump but client was in a hurry.
