    Support for Asus ROG G73 rev2 Bios/Schematic?

    Hello!

Got this beast in a quite bad shape ... touchpad ribbon cable with a burned track ... whatever.

The owner said he bought it like this ... he said also that sometimes the laptop would POST and he entered the bios one or two times, but most of the time there's no VIDEO.

Well I tried a reflow on the GPU, and it when shorted after. Reballed it and short was gone.
Assembled it and it turned on, fans spin, and no video.
2nd time the same. A few hours I turned it on and I got image with ASUS first image, but with blue tonality.
I could get into BIOS and selected Default setting and saved.
Never got image again the few times I tried to turn it on.

This is a garantee that's not BIOS issue neither GPU?

This said, and I've tried hard to find BIOS os schematic, but no luck.
Could some one help me with this?

    Some photos attached.

    Thanks!

i bet on gpu! relowed 3-4 of them... never had any other issues, only vga... and always use asus vga driver its different from ati vga driver, you will have freeze/bsod issues.. on some versions of bios lan disappear from device manager, but clear cmos fix this

if you get it working flash modded bios, you will get voltage settings and fan speed settings in bios

        Hello!

Well I've tried to make some more test to this MB and here what I've found.

First, I could never get the board to POST and show video again.
Second, when I plug charger board powers up all by herself. If I press PW some seconds she shuts down. And if I press again, she turns on.

This behavior is not 100% garantee. sometimes I plug the charger and the board DOESNT power up by herself.

Mesured coild on GPU (see photo) . arent some too low?
Well, removed GPU and black pastic protection that was underneath her , and I saw a burned component.

The question is that it isnt labeled, and It's impossible to read PN.
I bet it's similar to the one next to it... I had to leave office and I'll check it better tomorrow.

        Here are some pics.
How do you guys proceed in this case to know what PN is it?

        Thanks!

          Hello!

Any one with more experience on these GPUs could tell me if those values on coils arent too low ?

How to correct identify tht burned IC without schematic?

          Thanks for any inputs!

          Cheers.

[TUTORIAL] fix asus bios with bios from asus web support (by razor_amd)
            by razor_amd
With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI - BIOS Help
            by grimacelord
            Hello,

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

            Asus Q326FA Rev2.0 (UX362F/FA) BIOS
            by nd03
Please I would need the Q326FA REV2.0 Bios cleared. Somehow my laptop I fixed got corrupted and it will not power on display (including backlight).

This is my current BIOS. It was ok display was coming up while I was debugging something and suddenly it stopped. If it helps the battery indicator blink 4 whites. CPU fan spins. I have VCC Core rails. VCC GT (graphics) not coming up but no short I think Bios is not requesting graphics.

            Laptop Model: UX362F
            Motherboard Q326FA Rev2.0

There was an issue with intermittent display flicker so I was working on...

            🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
            by macabook
            Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
            🧩 Initial Issue
            • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
            • External display (HDMI) shows
            ...
