Hello guys. Thanks again for help. Just an update. Second display was fixed by changing LVDS connector. Laptop had an issue with touchpad as well but I wired it directly. HDMI was the HDMI repeater (parade) and a bad switch (N Channel MOS 2N7002 that was switching the 5V to HDMI +5VSHDMI I had 1.2V after changing repeater instead of 5V)....

Seems I did not fry the SOC. New screen works but china hits again. the EDP is not fully good. artifacts when I move it. Ordered new. Seems original IT was fried. I only have an issue left with this board. No HDMI signal in windows. Can you give some guidelines please? What should I check?

I bought a new screen assembly (still in transit). I broke the last one taking it out. Also my RT809H programmer arrived. Tried to connect it to IT8225 via 32P ITE extension board however it's not getting recognized. Do any of you have experience with RT809H and ITE programming? I mapped pins myself according to boardview in the software.

Thank you very much for the answers mcplslg123 and Sephir0th. Much respect.
Would like to understand a little bit more. Maybe you have more experience on those matters. In my entire works on electronics (quite some devices and years) I have never seen something actually killed by ESD. The reason is that all devices has quite strong ESD protection in the pads when they die is bonded the the actual capsule.
Wouldn't it be a good try to actually install windows on an SSD with MBR/Rufus on an USB and try to boot...

Help with Asus Zenbook UX362F repair
Hello lads,
Will give a quick summary. Bought this laptop as broken. Initial board had shorted SOC (VCCGT coil shorted to GND, checked all caps and just desoldered soc to confirm, dead short from VCCGT to GND on soc). I ordered a replacement board. Board model Q326FA Rev 2.0: is: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005962462632.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.77.1309180228rsDj
Installed the new board laptop booted but display was flickering very ugly in bios. Horizontal and vertical artifacts. I thought the GPU is dead but it turned out it was some...

I have boardview from this website.
Some signals from EC:
ALL_SYSTEM_PWRGD - 3V3
BUF_PLT_RST# - 3V3 (not resetting)
LID_SW# - 3V3 (open)
LCD_BACKOFF# - 3V3 (don't backoff)
LCD_BACKEN_PCH - 0V (this explains no GPU RAIL I think and no backlight, no clue why).
LCD_BLEN_CON - 0V (this could explain why no display but then why doesn't HDMI work either???)
L-BKLTCTL_PCH - 0V (ofc if BACKEN is 0 and blen is 0).
Do you think this sounds like a Bios issue or maybe I damaged the screen somehow by pulling on the wires?...

Asus Q326FA Rev2.0 (UX362F/FA) BIOS
Please I would need the Q326FA REV2.0 Bios cleared. Somehow my laptop I fixed got corrupted and it will not power on display (including backlight).
This is my current BIOS. It was ok display was coming up while I was debugging something and suddenly it stopped. If it helps the battery indicator blink 4 whites. CPU fan spins. I have VCC Core rails. VCC GT (graphics) not coming up but no short I think Bios is not requesting graphics.
Laptop Model: UX362F
Motherboard Q326FA Rev2.0
There was an issue with intermittent display flicker so I was working on...

Asus Q326FA Rev 2.0 BoardView and Schematic (UX362F)
Hello lads,
Long time since I did electronic repairs (haha too busy with software lately).
Just bought a laptop from a guy that said a Zenbook 13 Flip just died. He told me it was just open to see if battery is ok. The board is a complete mess (I found on a big pad 3x 0603 components I guess 2 resistors and 1 cap, all was burned connected on 1 side in a star ???) and it's missing some DrMoses. Also found 3 moses shorted on battery charge rail and another near the 1V rail I guess it is. I am not sure how the 3 components got there but maybe someone just tried to unsolder...

Re: DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
i used default. XGecuPro using Xgpro v8.11 flashed countless of SPI Flashes and it works. I verified after. If i just erase the bios and solder it like this there is no sign of life. If I flash this bios you gave me and solder it, it will do what I described before....

Re: DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
Yeap, I already did that. It still doesn't work.
EDIT: Did that already. Should I change status register too?...Last edited by nd03; 01-06-2019, 09:50 AM.

Re: DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
Well that is strange... Offset is 0 in this case, right? I flashed it but same problem
edit: Can status register be a problem?...Last edited by nd03; 01-06-2019, 09:43 AM.

Re: DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
Oh ok. To extract the bios I just run that tool and went under C:\Windows\Temp\WinPflash and there was a bios.rom, but it does not work....

Re: DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
Maybe that is why i bricked it in the first place. I am kind of sure that it is not booting because the GPU drive is not correct. it is a Winbond 25X16AVSIG not 1G. I selected this in my programmer and it shows me it is 2MB. That is strange.
EDIT: I can try the bios you gave me but how do i fit an 8MB image in a 2MB SPI Flash? Dell is wierd...
EDIT2: If it helps the Laptop was on A04 bios when I tried to update....Last edited by nd03; 01-06-2019, 09:19 AM.

Re: DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
Hello. It is a Winbond 25X16AVS1G (2MB not 8MB). My service tag:7HLZPK1.
You are correct it is an LA-4232P with NVIDIA GPU 9300m and Rev 1.0. I am confused since in the schematics I should have a Macronix SPI FLASH, not Winbond. The laptop was never serviced before....Last edited by nd03; 01-06-2019, 09:10 AM.

Re: DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
Hello. I already tried to cut the first and last 0.04 mb. I tried your file. The result is the same as when the bios is corrupted.
I will go in a little bit more detail. I had no battery so I used PFLASH16 from DOS to flash A08 bios from A04 bios, however I was impacient and thought the update is done and removed the cord. Simptoms are. I power on, fan spins for 1 sec then it stops, after that the block of leds in the center light up, last 2 leds are always on and then 3rd led from right to left starts...Last edited by nd03; 01-06-2019, 08:33 AM.

DELL Vostro 1320 (KAL80 LA-4232P) Nvidia Bios
Hello guys,
I have a Dell Vostro 1320 with Discrete Nvidia 9300m graphics card (it is kind of rare, usually UMA integrated video card). I wanted to update the BIOS and it got corrupted (long story). I cannot find a working BIOS for the discrete version on the internet. When I try to extract the bios from winpflash (original dell website), the size is 2,04MB instead of 2,00MB so I can't write the bin file. Also something strange, in the schematic there should be a Macronix SPI Flash but I have a Winbond 25x15av SPI Flash (2MB).
Please, provide me a working Bios dump...
