The EC is in the original archive together with main. Unsure what DMI means but I have now read out the config with BCU using /getconfig.
DMi is data machine ID (serial, built id, sku, etc) you'll find them in file got with BCU. After writing files I provide you (write both main+EC) your laptop will enter in manufacturing program mode (MPM). At 1st boot enter in bios setup (F10) and apply factory defaults. after that let it boot in windows and read again DMI with BCU, open both files and fill empty fields from last file with values got in 1st file, including MAC Adress. Also move * from "Mpm Mode" from Enable to Disable, save file then use BCU to write new file. I use commands "biosconfigutility /get:lock.txt" and " biosconfigutility /set:new.txt " (or whatever you named your files got with BCU, I am using BCU v4.0)
good luck!

The main file causes NeoProgrammer to crash with the not so useful error message "file not open". The same goes for the EC file from post #70, Unlock.rar.
So I don't have a complete package where both files work.
Is NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10 not recommended? I just picked one of the mentioned applications from some intro forum post.

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...
Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....
The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but...
The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
