this proves once again that you didn't read bios guides! As beginner into bios mod this should be your 1st step, ppl with way more experience than you made that guide. Since you write back bios backup you made with clamps and laptop doesn't start this should tell you that your bios backup is corrupted! And yet you ask "Why i can't use the soic clamp?" !!!

" It is possible to use clips on SOIC-8 ICs to avoid desoldering, however it is *very unreliable* and will often lead to an empty or corrupt dump. Avoid whenever possible.
If you insist on using a clip, then make sure the programmer uses an additional buffer and line driver for SPI.The T48 and T56 has it built-in.
It is recommended to desolder the chip and use an adapter board or socket."

Ok yes I yet read it but I was thinking what you wrote was because I don't use the 1.8V adapter. Now is all clear.
So please let me know why you ask me the serial number? it is possible to generate a new bios dump with it?

        Really thanks

yes, I will try to build a new bios from bios update, patch it and see how it works.

1st use patched file to unlock bios following steps described in autopatcher:

[ HOW TO USE THE PATCH ]
STEP 1: Flash and replace current BIOS with the generated patch file
                STEP 2: Boot the machine
STEP 3: Press ENTER/F1/etc. to enter BIOS settings
STEP 4: Enter any character when asked for Supervisor Password
STEP 5: Press enter when it shows Hardware ID
STEP 6: Press space bar 2x when asked
                STEP 7: Turn off machine
                STEP 8: Restore original BIOS
STEP 9: Reset BIOS settings to factory default

at step 8 use T495_new.bin Because your backup is corrupted I'm not sure your DMI is ok, if you get message that serial, MTM, etc. is missing use Lenovo Maintenance Utility to restore original serial, MTM.

Thank you I will try it but to make sure I do things right:
I must use the 1.8V adapter and I have to desolder the chip. Is right?

I'm trying to power one the laptop with the ch341 clamp attached but not inserted to usb because I'm not able to desolder it and I spend some hours to fit the clamp.

so ... if you got an faulty bios backup with clamps how do you expect to write bios chipset in a good way ... with same clamps? Think, is for free!

You are right but it was my mistake because I try to read and flash with the clamp not fitted correctly but now after 10000 try I fit it and bacause I'm not able to desolder it I want to try to restore the laptop in this way. I disconnect the ch431a but not the clamp and now the laptop play some strange sounds (bip bip...) and nothing else

I not want to disconnect the clamp because if I have to flash another firmware I not want to make again 10000 try to fit it.

look around bios chipset if you didn't damage any component during 10000 tries, it happens

Finally I get it working again by flashing the #22 bin file...Now I have a no password bios!!! So the problem was not using 1.8v adapter

                            Thank you for your support!!

Just last question: why you say to restore original dump if with patched one all is ok?

Hello. I bought this laptop T495 and i think he have autopilot or MDM i don't know sure.. but the thing is that i can't install windows on it.. after i install windows i have to log somewhere.. this happened few days ago.. but now.. after i tried few things i generated another UUID and now this laptop can't connect to that server or idk how to call it... "mother ship ". I will attach bellow one picture. And one more thing. I saw that in bios i have OA3 license installed, preinstalled license. And one more thing, the laptop had supervisor password on bios.. but i managed remove it and to disable everything on bios that could block me to install the windows. It's there a way to resolve my problem? Thank you very much!

Hi y'all. Would anyone happen to have some advice? After I did the Lenovo autopatcher, no post, black screen. I tried with a different bios as well, same result. Original bios working, but it needs password.

The original bios is in the attachments as well the patched

Hi! I tried patching and writing the bios to my ThinkPad T495 but it seems that the original dump was corrupted. Now the laptop doesn't boot even when I flash the original dump. Anyway to save the machine ?
