I have the same laptop with the exact same faulty bios password issue Dell XPS L502X boots instantly to a password hint screen and won't go any further have you had any luck fixing this issue I tried calling Dell and they say that the motherboard is dead but I had no issues with this system at all until i removed my bios password and saved it blank than rebooted not this Password/Unlock Key screen is all i get. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

look for ec 512kb and bios 4mb dump to fix this board with programmer

i own an L702X, but i neither have a programmer nor have knowledge to do so.

Apart from that i am not sure if the dump would be the same from my model. Is it possible to check over windows?

Did that remove the password?
Can you please please please tell us the procedure? We're also in trouble

i use EZP programmer to copy in the 4Mb bios the dump upload by GURUJI . no need to reprogram the 512Kb EC bios .

expect you know how to use programmer .

So I guess I'm gonna buy the EZP programmer! Coz I don't have it
And also can you locate the 4Mb chip on the board for me!

The 8 pins chip above the 2 connectors near the cmos battery

And do you use hot air for separating them ? Can I use careful simple soldering ?
And I guess the other chip (EC) shouldn't be touched, I just want to know where is it? Thanks for putting your time and effort

Ec bios is near the ITE chip(EC) at the left above battery connector
