I downloaded multiple programs now but I can't find my chip in any of them. What do I have to select instead now? What could go wrong if I select another chip so read another chip?

    Comment

ok, if i select this chip "W25Q128FW". I can read and write without issues event tough my chip is called "74m12jwsiq" ? So I can write the bios from lenovo website right on it and then it should work?

Ok, perfect! I just wanted to make sure it's working for my chip before I buy something. This programmer is fine? https://www.amazon.de/EEPROM-Program...ustomerReviews

And I can basically use any ch341a programmer software right? Or should I use a specific one?

            Hi all.
Got a 15-ALC05 here with a black screen / power light. BIOS dump attached. S/N is PF2YAA43
I'm struggling to transfer the DMI data across, have tried a couple of the attached BIN files from this post but no difference.
Could someone kindly provide me an edited file (and ideally the location of the DMI data - I'm reading it's 1000 - 2FFF but not sure if that's accurate for this dump?)

            Thanks in advance

I got the programmer and read the bios of my 15-alc05 now. My Bios chip is called "74m12jwsiq" but asprogrammer automatically suggested "W25Q128FW". What do I have to do now? How do I add that DMI info and what is this? is it necessary? Here is my bios backup (i have packed two files into the folder on one I just clicked save and on the other i added .bin when i saved it)

try the bios from post #55, there is also the interval where the DMI information is found, use the HxD program (you can find it for free), enter both bios into the program, select the interval in both bios and pass the interval from your bios to the interval from the bios from postl#55 (copy-paste), that's all..

Ok, so I select the hex values from 00001000 to 0002FF0 (there is no 2FFF) and copy all that in the file from your post#54 (h2cn31ww.rar) even though I can't read anything there right?

                    the text says this:

                    "LENVk ¦O†Mm*gKš@ôÑŽÍè \^Ë`_Eƒ‘-¢J

well, there's nothing to read there, because it's empty, the bios being virgin...yes, you have to fill that empty space..

ok, I edited that file now and pasted all that unreadable decrypted stuff from my backup to the virgin bios. Now I can upload it to my bios chip right? Do I have to click on that in my asprogrammer?

And I just copied everything in a range from 1000 to 2FF0 from my bios to the virgin bios. The start (0 - 1000) on my new created bios is just empty FF everywhere is that right?

yes, you can write the bios chip with the newly edited content..I haven't used that program and CH341A..I don't know to tell you anything about it..

                            Hi,

The LEDs are on and there is a black screen.
I tried to upload the bios from thread #5 but no effect. I have a request for the correct BIOS with my DMI. Original ripped bios attached.

You have to read the bios chip and upload the dump here, your DMI information and possibly Windows key too would be in the file, so it's very important to do that first. Without this dump you'll lose both.

                                .
                                Hello

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ALC05 82LN and facing the same black screen with only caps-numlock-esc lights on. The MTM: 82LN00AKLM and s/n PF3X11AX, dont remember the Windows key . Is it possible to generate correct BIN? Thank you for reply!

ID:	3486383 after the latest BIOS update I encountered a situation when during computer boot a message appears stating that "new cpu installed, ftpm nv corrupted or structure changed" and I have to press NO to continue boot. A checked Lenovo's forum and found that to fix the situation, I need to make a correction in the BIOS. The problem is that I forgot the BIOS password, or it was corrupted as well, and cann't enter it.
How to get out of this situation?
