    Re: LA-G078P not charging

Are you using the official and recommended power adapter for this unit?

If not, the logic board can be throttled and battery charging can be impacted due to a weaker power source.

Any schematics available for this board?

Locate the dcin connector -> nearby should be 2x dcin mosfets. What are their topside markings?

Nearby should be the charger IC that drive the dcin mosfets. What are the topside markings of the charger IC?

Post close up pics if this region.

From these details, we can better understand the charging portion of the logic board.

This behavior is typical when you use a lower wattage adapter type than the product calls for, can you post what is reported as the detected AC adapter in BIOS and what is the adapter recommendation written on the bottom cover of the laptop?

That does not apply here, if the Adapter identification part of the board was shorted by the transient diode, he would not get charging when the laptop is off.

Measure the voltages on mosfet PQB13 for both cases.

                      Post the readings.

The gate voltage readings were not posted for PQB13.
