Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
You have board view
Check this signal suspwrdnack is connected to which capacitor or which nodes
Take snapshot and postComment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
in this board suspwrdnack is actualy just connect KBC to PCH nothing fancy.
suspwrdnack also connects to +3VSUS_ORG (measured 3v) and connected through a 10kOhm resistor.Comment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
Check resistance value of 10 kilo ohm resistor
In ohm rangeComment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
Hmm interesting
At step 15 rsmrst# when goes up 3.3v pch_susack# goes up at step 16 and at step 17
suspowerdnack goes up after 200msec delay so
First check PCH_susack# goes up and it is constant
For few seconds or drops
Second if it drops we found the problem
This resistor is connected to which parts means one side and other side
Replace q3002 transistor
and if you find nothing changed ,
Otherwise , difficult but not recommend as last option
Solution1: use a jumper wire and attach one end where PCH susack# and connect other to suspwrdnack
Solution2
Jump wire from
+3VSUS_ORG to suspowerdnack
If we had complete schematic diagram it could help
Our goal is to provide 3.3 volt at suspwrdnack to check if it works or not
Flashing a good bios also an option with clean me regionComment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
Found a Schematic that is not exactly for this modell but whatever I looked up on this was good and correct for my modell too:Attached FilesComment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
Check voltage at r2134 and r2106
This schematic diagram has power sequence where at step 6 we have sus_pwrgd and step 7 is suspowerdnack
and step 8 is after 200ms pm_rsmrst#
These signals are powered by 1.8vs
I am sure if all other signals are present
This is absent due to one of q3001a or b is working in abnormal condition
Check q3001a mosfet and q3001b it is a dual mosfet 6 pin
N channel so require high voltage in this case 3.3 to turn on and one will work at a time
Check voltage on pin 2 , 3 ,6 ,5Comment

Sorry if i misslead you, but my previous statement is good:Check voltage at r2134 and r2106

"ME SUSPWRDNACK" and "ME SUSPWRDNACK EC" is just connected trough R3071 and its a 0 Ohm resistor. Q3001a and Q3001b in this board is not present but jumpwired directly
But you gave me an idea:
previously I have checked PCH_SUSACK# is 3.3v constant so EC give this signal out but I did NOT checked the other side of the R2232 resistor that is going to PCH. I check if I'm home.Last edited by questore; 12-22-2020, 05:00 AM.Comment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
ME_SusPwrDnAck should remain 3.3 high as per sequence , should never drop down
What is connected to other side of r2232
Which schematic is correct ,this new you attached or posted in previous page
Q3002 is important as per diagramComment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
PCH_SUSACK# is connected to PM_SUSACK through R2232
Unfortunatelly nor the schematic nor the Boardview is perfect for this model.
This is a minimalistic board and most of the components are missing and just connected trough direct 0Ohm resistors.
I'll try to make a good picture with high quality to make you a good baseline of this board.
I have no idea why ME_SusPwrDnAck goes down after 3.3v it does not makes sense to me. Its directly goes to KBC chip.
I have checked and its 0Ohm all the way through from chip to chip. No short to ground.Comment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
Q3002 missing and jumpered trough 0 Ohm resistor R3071 see picture1: SUSPWRDNACK_pic.jpg (516.9 KB).
R3071 pins
1 ME_SUSPWRDNACK
2 ME_SUSPWRDNACK_EC
Made picture of PCH_Susack area balow PCH to make you see how minimalistic this board is

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
Check at previous step
3vsus, 5vsus constant or dropping for 10sec
If drops we are getting close to faultComment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
When it goes down again tweezers create connection between suspwrdnack and pch_susack and check but carefully
We are providing 3.3 signal to pch to retain susComment

Re: X550jx black screen but cpu heating up
Not exactly sure but another solution is put pq3002 and provide power there as per sequenceComment

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by reformattJust had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".
It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...07-31-2025, 08:37 PM -
by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... -
by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by spice_discI'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.
The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...1 Photo - Loading...
