Lenovo G50-80 turns on and quickly shuts down

Hello guys, i need your help fellow brothers

Im diagnosing a Lenovo G80-50 laptop

    ACLU3/ACLU4
    Rev : 1.0

when you press the power button, the LED power light turns On and quickly shuts down, no display, fan spins a sec and stop. I haven’t seen any short so far.
PU908 (CPU POWER CORE CHIP) is getting hot the moment you press the power button, the laptop turns off very fast, i changed PU908, still im getting same problem, on output side of the 2 cpu power supply coil i get 1.6v and then goes away as soon as the laptop turns off, still the new chip get hot as well and the pc quickly shuts down

The funny thing is, when i remove both mosfets that generates power for the CPU, the laptop doesn’t switch off at all, but when i place them back it switch off very fast

    Kindly advise guys

1.6V is ok on Haswell. Replacing the MOSFETs at the same time as the controller can still be a good idea though.

I think i agree with you, if i remove the output mosfets of the cpu power supply the board turns On without quickly shutting down, it turns on and never shut down..but if i put the mosfets, it turns on and get 1.6v on the output coil of the cpu power supply abd then quickly shuts down

I m agree with Ktmmotocross ,1.6V is way high .
1.2 volts is quite low in terms of safety and heat. With an i5 and stock cooling, 1.1V is probably safe; with a Pentium and stock cooling, 1.2V is probably safe; with an i7 and stock cooling, maybe only 1.05V is safe (in terms of temperatures).

                    Post 3 is true ,
                    Replace MOSFETs
                    Or CPU is defective

I confirm. I replaced mosffets q39 and q40. When they are gone, the board works, but when I put new ones in, the effect is unfortunately the same. My processor is damaged.

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

Turns on and shuts off NUC8I7HNK4 needed a BIOS
                        by ZixuTech
Seems like we are dealing with a case of a corrupted BIOS after Intel Driver software attempted to flash the bios (haven't seen that before). The customer reported seeing a BIOS message while the screen was flickering during the Intel Display Driver installation. This was while the BIOS WRITE lock jumper was in place. Resulting in Loop restarting.

Afterwards, the customer attempted flashing BIOS via USB stick, resulting now in turning and immediately shutting down unit NUC8I7HNK4.

Under the thermal cam, I can see that the CPU is initiating a heat signature for a second...

LG L192WS-BN backlight turns off after 1 second
                        by www
I am testing an old LG L192WS-BN monitor I have that gives an image, but has a backlight issue. When you turn it on the backlight turns on 1 second and it turns off, turns on again, 1 second and it turns off and stays off. Using a flashlight I can see there's still an image.

I replaced a bulged cap on the main board, but made no difference. I also got another exact same model monitor that has a broken ccfl (the connector got ripped from the panel and the main screen connector is also broken so I can't use this panel to test), tried using the main board from this one, same issue....

Hp 15-ca2003ca DAG7BDMB8F0 turns on & shuts off
                        by mferna14
Hi all, I am working on Hp 15-ca2003ca (MB DAG7BDMB8F0 REV:F). The problem was totally dead. Upon diagnostics, there was a burnt SY8286BRAC. I replaced it with another one. Now the WHITE LED on the DC-in jack glows & when the main battery is installed, the status of the LED changes to Orange. But when I press ON/OFF button, I see the power LED glows for a sec & then shuts off. Same happens when I press the ON/OFF button over again. I just put the Meter leads on the 3.3/5V coils & the meter shows that these both volts are generated & then in a sec. goes away. I re-programmed the...

Dynex tv with model #32L200a12 turns on, but shows "please wait..." quickly...
                        by SCCronauer25
I am trying to fix my Dynex tv. The PSB is new and so is the Control Board, but when I turn it on, I get "please wait..." on screen, then it quickly goes black. I have the back of it off and checking voltages shows 5v standby and 2.5v supply comes on going away/into PSB/Control Board, 24v is present on PSB (getting .4v on most, if not all, backlight lines, 5v to backlight is there also), the control board's heatsink staying hot to the touch, plus the 2.5v going away/into the PSB/Control Board, gives me the impression it is on. What else should I check for?
