dell n5010 fan spining high shut off 3to 5 min

hi friends dell inspiron n5010. when i switched on its shutdown in every 3 to 5 min no overheating fan spining high. whats the problem any one master can solve the problem please.

If it has the dedicated AMD graphics then most likely it is about to fail. You may need to replace the graphics chip. Reflowing will not help as the first batch of these boards had faulty graphics chip.

its not amd its intel(without gpu)

I got a PB doing the same only in half a minute.

Take the board out of the case and test it out.

I think it has to do with hm chipset or cpu socket.

hi dj u mean to say that u have same pb in ur mb u take board out of case and its working
fine. sorry in my case i also checked out of case but still same. i think if i am right it has bios temp setting problem. some people changing (temp setting) in bios with bios mod tool and its working fine. can u do modify bios. if u dont mine i want to say that i like ur status (just cook it! it's already broken)

normally you have to flash bios with clean intel me region . Dirty intel management engine Region can cause this kind of issue . But sometime it may be the PCH itself .

Upload your Bios i will do it for you under the watchful eye of ala_borbe

here is your bios, write it with programmer and if its bios problem it should stop

Check the V on wires from fan .

3 or 4?

only 3 wires comes from fan first wire 1.9v fluctuating second is gnd third wire is 5v but present v is 2.9

try on change the sound chip and lan chip.

just now i solved a dell by changing the sound chip.

please try to downgrade or replace equal CPU.

I had a Dell 6420 i7 that was faulty cpu , it shutdowns after 10 min working bought new cpu solved the problem and yes was a long road to reach cpu... BD, motherboard etc etc

I had similar problem with n5030, I changed the cpu and problem was solved, later I also had a similar issue with n5110 I had to reprogram with a new bios chip, that solved the problem.

as i told i have change cpu with same config, replace bios chip with new one but result is same, no overheating,
