Re: Dell 3421, No Power.....
Thanks everybody speacially Khaahk. I have noticed that 5v_s5 and 3.3v_s5 is not present in U3601 AND U3602. But I have a same working Motherboard this board also 5v_s5 n 3d3_s5 is not preset without power button press. But this schematic indicate 5v_s5 and 3.3v_s5 must be ok befor rsm_rst#. I dont know what happend.Comment

Re: Dell 3421, No Power.....
Hi bro I was googling around to get the schematic of this board, and I finally
could get it on this thread.
So what happens is I got this notebook, and as soon as I plug the dc adapter the PSU light goes off. So there's a short somewhere. some guys form chip level repair told me to go straight to the VCC core section and lift all fets and check them I did that, and fets were fine.
Then I focused myself on the VIN section I lifted all fets and they were fine.
any ideas how I should go on, I'm thinking on 3v 5v always regulator and fets.
But I'm starting to think maybe the SIO could be shorted.
can you give me some ideas. Thanks. I have a lab supply to inject voltage if needed.Comment

in that case you cut a dell cable jack. connect it to the Lab PSU and go slowly up until it heats up your bad component.Hi bro I was googling around to get the schematic of this board, and I finally

and go like that untill you find all the bad components and the PSU does not consume anymore!Just cook it! It's already broken.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by Mark01Hi guys,
This is my first post! 🚀
I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’m learning by trial and error.
I’m currently working on a Dell Optiplex AIO 7490—one of a bunch of AIOs that mysteriously failed to POST just a few days after the warranty expired. The original issue was that the PC worked fine until it was rebooted, after which it got stuck on a black screen (no backlight), with fans spinning at normal speed and a solid white power LED. Forcing it off by holding the power button would just cause it to switch on automatically and get stuck again on...07-04-2025, 12:54 PM -
by zlr8rhey guys, hoping for some pointers to repair an eBay bought "faulty" laptop.
Ill try and give as much info as I can.
Dell Inspiron 17 (7786) Laptop
Service Tag: 5J0NHT2
Bios: 1.9.0
When I received this , it would only flicker on the KB backlight for a second, then off and on.
Then it started getting weirder!
Sometimes when attaching the AC power supply, and pressing various pre-boot diagnostic keyboard keys... it did try to boot, in fact out of a hundred attempts, the laptop did actually boot into the Bios ! but never has... -
by LimesKeyHi everyone, I have an Inspiron 7506 laptop I've had for a few years, and it'd occasionally have a problem where after I'd power it off, it wouldn't turn on again unless I disconnected, drained residual voltage by pressing the power button, and reconnected the battery. It now seems to be occurring every single time I shut down the laptop and attempt to turn it back on again. I have done all the common troubleshooting steps, such as completely disconnecting the battery & CMOS battery and draining the voltage and leaving it for an hour, and I've even replaced the battery. This is definitely...10-17-2025, 05:33 PM

by seppdeHello everyone,
I've recently gotten my hands on a defective XPS13 9380. I will attach a zip of the schematics and boardview.
My first discovery on the Board was that the reverse current Diode PD103 of the 1st USB-C was blown.
Nothing to worry about, the board got 3 USB-C ports which support Power/Charging. On I go.
Next I inspected the power-rails to see why the diode blew up and found a short on the 3V3 rail which I traced back to the Power-IC for the LCD (UZ2). I desoldered it and the very low-ohmic short is gone. I checked on the LCD-connector that there's no short... - Loading...
