    ps4 wont accept disk

    Hi.
    Any advise would be great.
    Got a PS4 that wont allow disks to be inserted. I've check the Drive roller and they are fine. Disks can be inserted and removed via the manual screw at the side of the drive.
    Once inserted the drive read and run fine but wont eject. System does try to eject if eject button or Software eject is pressed but nothing happens.
    Any help would be great.
    Tried all the youtube stuff. Standing Vertical, Pulling Power and rebuilding database.

      check the motor with a 9v battery, check the switches that detect a disk being inserted into the deck.

          Without having it in front of me, problem lies in the controller chip I believe (and possibly elsewhere). Order yourself a replacement "compatible" board online (BDP-xxx)and it should pull in and eject the disc. It will not read the disc however until the paired IC would be swapped which will need to be done by someone capable of swapping without damaging the chip. To my knowledge the have not yet found a way to pair a different board so if that chip gets damaged it will not play any games.

                  Hi,

                  I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

                  Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
                  Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

                  The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
                  • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
                  • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket

                  Today recieved hp model 17-f100nx laptop with no power.(motherboard=DAY11AMB6E0) after that repaired +1.05v section due to faulty buck converter.after that power issue fixed and laptop turns on.But "no bootable 3f0 error displayed".so then

                  i checked the connectivity of ribbon=good communication with hard and motherboard

                  changed hard disk and checked=3f0 error persist

                  sata power=+5v available

                  Then checked data capacitors=all good

                  Then checked data lines path connectivity to pch=all good

                  reflashed...

                  LG GCC-4521B cannot read any disk

                  I bought 6 second hands odd $5 at a flea market and I found that 2 odd(GCC-4521B,TS-H192) won't read any disk.
                  But I measured all ESR value of SMD capacitor which is located on the TS-H192's PCB and replaced two capacitor which has higher ESR value.
                  And To My joy,this TS-H192 odd finally recognized burned CD as well as pressed CD.πŸ˜‚
                  But there was no more good fortune for GCC-4521B..In order to dead GCC-4521B back to life, I replaced three capacitor which has higher ESR value and I rubbed silicon grease on the every glides.I even brushed lens with cotton swab which was soaked...

                  As in the other thread I was trying to revive/re-bootstrap an old Apple IIe and wasn't successful reading or writing any disk. Both drives behave similarly.

                  Then I was wondering, what about my PC floppy drives? I have a HH 5ΒΌ" HD drive and a combo 5ΒΌ+3Β½ drive. I tried formatting the disk that wouldn't work in the Apple and it didn't work in the PC either!

                  Then I tried a HD 5.25 disk ... it won't even touch the disk either! Just like the Apple DD disk, "Not Ready!"

                  Weird. Seems the PC drive is having trouble clamping...

                  BMW M-ASK PL2 blackscreen, no radio,  no Reaktion of DVD eject button!

                  Hello everyone,

                  I have a device (BMW CCC Unit), which no longer posts anything also blackscreen.
                  The unit is getting power, dvd player is spinning but does not eject the DVD when eject Button is being pressed.

                  Everything seems to be normal on the board ( no short), except β€žOASIS xs8805b0aq chip β€ž, it is getting hot when the board is turned on.

                  Does anyone has the datasheet or pinout diagram of that specific IC?
