The first and third links, both for Nichicon PW series parts are probably OK. The second link is for a VZ series part, which is not a good choice for motherboard VRM filtering or P/S O/P filtering. Look for low impedance (sometimes called low ESR) series parts, for example:

    Nichicon PW or HE

    Panasonic FC or FM

United Chemicon LXV, LXY, LXZ, KY, or KZE

These are all available from Digi-Key. Rubycon has good parts too (ZL, ZLH come to mind, though there are other series that are favored here abouts), but I don't know what disties carry them. Topcat, who owns this site, seems to offer a fair amount of Rubycon product.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

Here are the Digi-Key catalog pages for lytics. The charts for the different series include the dimensions.

Yes, it's confusing, just keep your wits about you and look for low impedance/low ESR types. I'd recommend Panasonic FM and Nichicon HE. What board are you recapping?

PM Topcat for FV25 recap advice, he's done many of those. I'm not big on the SFF thing.

Re: Am I on the right track?

You can use 3300/6.3, 4700/6.3 or 5600/6.3 in place of the 3300/10 12.5. This only filters Vcore, so 10v is not required. I used Rubycon YXG 5600/6.3 on the FV-24 (where it replaced 3 x Gloria 3900/10 12.5mm), but the Nichicon PW(M) 3300/10 12.5mm is also a perfectly usable choice.

                      In place of the 2 x 3300/6.3 10mm (which originally was 2x2700/6.3 10mm on the FV24), I used 1x Nichicon PW(M) 3300/10 12.5mm in parallel with a Panasonic FC 1000/10 10mm - this fits and works fine.

All the 1000/10 8mm can be replaced with Rubycon YXG 1000/6.3 8mm, but there are numerous alternatives including Panasonic FK/FC etc.- 6.3v is fine for all these caps.

might just be cheaper and easier to get the kit.

So far I've been a silent reader, but now I need your help

I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...
The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge

                          Hello Everyone,

My name is Haris and, I am new to the forum. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Little back story on me and the issues that we are dealing with...
I work on a fleet that uses Panasonic CF-20s we have about 65 of them. Up until the beginning of the year they all had warranty so all the repairs were covered. Fast-forward to now and all of the units are out of warranty and it can't be extended past this point. We don't have the budget this year to replace them, so we will be stuck trying to fix any issues that may come up.

                          ...

                          2700uF instead of 3300uF
                          by Satdude
Hey guys, I have a question. I need to replace the caps on my og Xbox motherboard, but I can't buy quality capacitors in my country with this specification (everything is either out of stock, with a minimum order of 1000 or just plain too big to fit in the Xbox). Can I replace the 5 3300uF caps with 5 Panasonic 2700uF caps? Thanks

Available replacements Rubycon MBZ 3300uf 6.3v low ESR?
                          by EFritz20
                          Hello everyone,

I have a few busted Rubycons MBZ 3300uf 6.3v that are used for VRM purposes on a socket A motherboard. According to spec 12 mOhm with 2800 ripple.

I have used the search engine and it appears the Panasonics are the ones to get, but those are topics already years old and these electronic ultra low ESR caps aren't availably anymore .

I can't seem to find any available caps on the known sites that are in spec of these Rubycons. Also i can't find Polymers with 3300uf or even close to that. Closest ones i found where 2000/2200uf ones but...
