Re: RELAND SUN Low or High?
You got a point , i only wanted to try if the board post before buying more exspensive. You can solder them away but if i can save money. What would you recommend for the best performance if the price gets higher? Sanyo should be good. But 10 caps is often for around 30-40$.

Re: DFI PM12-TC recap (but failed)
I got 2 of these boards for free when i needed psu. I tried one of the board today. All caps were looking just as new. I noticed it only support AGP 4x. What is the newest bios version for this Phoenix bios?

Re: KM400-M REV 1.0B Socket 462. Replace capacitors.
You got a point i got much dirt under the ram slots, don't know how to reach it. I have had it on since 2006. I only have had it off for in total maybe one month, when various things got broken. Two harddrives have i replaced since then. I did it as a test to see what it could take. I got one problem with the master ide slot as it turns of the harddrive, i guess it is broken, the slave ide on the motherboard works. One of the chassi fans connector only gives light to the fan, the other chassi fans 3 pin connector gives power and...

Re: KM400-M REV 1.0B Socket 462. Replace capacitors.
I tried but no screen starts, the fans are spinning. Should i try a multimeter to see what others caps that can be wrong? Someone told me that the bios chip is rarely the fault. In fact i have a IDE ports that disconnetcs the hard drive when it is in master ide, it only works in slave ide. Can that port be broken maybe the agp port can be that to. I also think there is a problem with the port to the 3 pin chassi fan.

Re: KM400-M REV 1.0B Socket 462. Replace capacitors.
I took 5 off. Sanyo are 1,2/8mm 6.3v 1000uf. KZG are 1.9/8mm 1500uf. Can kzg work with higher uf? I got an answer from a friend:KZG is actually a line from Nippon Chemi-Con, and Nippon basically makes the best caps you can find. While if possible you'd want to use the exact same specs (both voltage and capacitance), when not so you always want to use slightly higher rated for both (too big caps take too long to charge/discharge and may desync something). If the component height and width both don't have clearance issues with any...Last edited by Oldschool297; 08-10-2023, 06:21 AM.

KM400-M REV 1.0B Socket 462. Replace capacitors.
I got a bluescreen error in Windows Vista Ultimate and after a restart i got Bios checksum error and A: error. I do not have a A: drive. Now the screen only is black, the fans and harddrives start but the screen is black. I tried my graphic card in another computer and it worked. I also tried to remove the memorys. Can it be the bios or caps? It start with the bad caps but no screen is visable. There are 6 bad 6.3v 1000uf. I got 6.3v 1500uf but i guess these won't go?...

Motherboard K7N2 Delta-L Socket A 462.
I wrote about a Asus board with bad caps and i have this to. There seems to be 6 bad 1000uf 10v Michicom? Michigan? Do you know any good manufactors?
I got it to work last year, i could install Vista but the cpu seems to go high even if i had the right paste. 55-60 Could it have been because of the caps? I changed cooler but it was the same. When i should start it another time nothing appears on the screen, only black. Some said it could have been the bios chip but the caps spoke more to me. I also discovered that the board did not start sometimes, but when i touched a cap a little it seems...Last edited by Oldschool297; 07-17-2023, 10:26 AM.

Re: Asus A8R-MX/DP motherboard change 7 caps
I got it to work with KZG 6.3v 1500uf. The system seems stabile to. It was the first time changing. Of course i placed the caps wrong the first time by looking at a photo online where the white strip on the caps should be on the white hemisphere on the motherboard. But i did not start it, by looking at the others i realized they was wrong so i had to solder them away one more time. Asus has the negative on the plus side. Reversed. Thanks for all help.

Re: Post help identifying capacitors here
I got one loose so the legs are left on the motherboard. It seems to be a black plastic plug on the back. It had been easy to insert a new one to the legs on the motherboard. If the + and - gets right. It is KZG 6.3V 1500UF (M)105c.Last edited by Oldschool297; 07-09-2023, 01:00 AM.
