Re: Caps Needed for SV25 power supply
To stay at 16v, the size jumps to 12.5mm starting at 1800μF. could I use that and have it be ok aslong as I have the room?...

Re: SV25 Beep codes?
made a bit more progress, when trying to flash the Bios, I get to the A: prompt and when I type the numbers...it's like the shift key or something was being held down...
I cleared the CMOS, got the flash utility working...Flashed it...and it actually worked...this thing is coming back to life!!
Hooked up the hard drive...and it wouldn't detect it...
restarted it, and bam...went right into windows!!
well see how it holds up!
thanks for the ideas and support guys!

Re: SV25 Beep codes?
Slight bit of progress...
I tried it with a PCI graphics card and now I got a "bios checksum error" "detecting floppy drive and A media" "insert system disk and press enter" I hit enter and get nothing....
But I do have a display with the PCI card...

Re: SV25 Beep codes?
good question, I don't know, I just knew I was going to recap it so I didn't bother checking it, because all the caps were swollen and looking really bad.
I'll try a PCI card tonight to see if that makes any difference......

SV25 Beep codes?
I have recapped three sv25's successfully. I have one more that I just finish and is doesn't seem to work. One Long and Two short Beeps. And then a rumbling sounds through the tiny little speaker that gives the beeps. The fans spin up...no video...I did a little research and found this
Here's the beep codes for Award BIOS:
No Beeps No Power, Loose Card, or Short.
1 Short Beep Normal POST, computer is ok.
2 Short Beep POST error, review screen for error code.
Continuous Beep No Power, Loose Card, or Short.
Repeating Short Beep No Power, Loose...
