    speedstream 2624 (Siemens S***)

    Beware of Siemens S***

i bought one of these wireless b routers with built in print server at a goodwill(5 bucks) about 6 months ago. was using it until tonight when it stated to act funny. I opened it up to find a bulging Tocon cap.

i thought Siemens (the manufacturer of speedstream) was a good brad that kept out of this crap. nope.

since its old and kinda obsolete, i may not re-cap it.

has anybody else had this happen with siemens

siemens was winning many state contracts here, then it was discovered they were paying huge bribes but anyway i havent seen many good caps in networking equipment except for cisco and also recently 3com. its the easiest thing to recap networking equipment and restore to full functionality again.

      Re: speedstream 2624 (Siemens S***)

all siemens stuff i've had so far (mostly old stuff) used Siemens/EPCOS caps.
they have a top marking like a few cheapos (a stretched "X") but they work fine.

even a really old (by now) Slot1 mobo (Siemens D1115) has those and is still going strong in my little brothers homeserver with a PIII 600.

edit: example of those EPCOS caps.. i've never seen them anywhere else than older Siemens/Fujitsu-Siemens mainboards..

My modem (SpeedStream 4100 I think) has two caps in it, a Matsushita and a G-Luxon.

Strange mix but it's been doing 24/7 service for 3 years now and has never given me any trouble.

Hi, I got this Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xa 3530 Model: MS2244. from a friend and it is powering On, but only functional keys lights up, fan spins and nothing else, screen is black no backlight, and it's staying like that forever. I tried other memory that I know is working, I tried to empty capacitors by holding power button without battery but still nothing. I didn't try new cmos battery, need to disassemble it first to try that. But I don't think even if cmos battery is dead it would give some backlight and picture...I kind of think it's chipset or gpu dead.
I read something on google that...

            EPCOS Cap Replacement
            by Wet_Cap
Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone can help me with some capacitors that blew on a VFD. Caps are EPCOS B43501-S3277-M1, 270uF, 385V, three pin. Markings on capacitors are as follows.
            EPCOS
            B43501-S3277-M1
            270uF (M)
            385V 40/085/56
            10.10 S3

Tried looking on Epcos website which takes me to TDK. Tried searching with no luck for specs on cap. I just want to find all the information I need to replace these caps. Any help greatly appreciated.

Siemens RVS21.831, Looking for References, Models, and Values of These Components
            by mengpo
            Hi everyone,

Following a short circuit on the controller board of my heat pump, I'm looking to replace the components shown in the photos. All I know is that they are diodes (but I'm not sure what type), and I haven't been able to find their equivalents.
The one on the left says: 15A 5BA
The one on the right says: DTZ S47 or DTZ 547
Does anyone know how to identify them?

Thank you very much for your help!

FYI, the card is a siemens RVS21.831

Help needed with Siemens S11868502 D SIM24 ECU component value/s
            by johancraftech
Foremost, I am not an ecu specialist. This ECU: Siemens S11868502 D SIM24 (Ford KA 1.3 Petrol) ended on my bench. It was previously worked on by an unknown technician. The only information I have at hand, is that the owner replaced the ignition coil as the latter caused one of the IGBT's in the ECU to short. The IGBT I can source and replace, but it seems that the previous technician removed 2 components (most probably resistors in a mini-melf package): see attached photo. It seems that schematics and/or board view files does not exist. If there are any ECU specialists that can assist in identifying...
