Good to hear that you are up and running again, as for your last post,

    ( Re: Fix for Benq FP737s 17" (Q7T3)
I just don't know what seems to be the problem. I have canceld the surveilance of the IC )

That seems to be one for DAVMAX or one of the other techies, hope they come in for you, I will follow your problem with intrest, best of luck

10x for the reply. In my case, I just don't know what seems to be the problem. I have canceld the surveilance of the IC , and now it seems to be working. None of the c5707 is heating up... All the four lamps are lighting.
The monitor is working for almowst 30 hours now whitout a stop.

    Hello and welcome dorofteius
As no tech guys have come in, I may be able to help, as I have done a fair few of these Benq boards, as you have covered the C5707 + fuse + resoldering, they are the norm fixes in my repairs of these boards
Did you check resistance across the PF fuse ??? there should be little or none.
Other than that you will have to suspect bad inverter transformer, or bad CCFLs tube, or a possible dried out cap on inverter side, here is a good Link to a dell Monitor that uses a Benq board like yours that gives a very good process of elimination to your problem that you can use to your advantage

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...&postcount=296

should do it for you, hope so, good luck

    I have a problem.
Ifound 2 c5707 blown up, the fuse and the two mosfets were ok.
So I replaced them, resolder the board, and now it comes-up for 2 seconds then turns of for 2 seconds and comes again for 2 sec, and finaly the lite goes off for good.
    The led stays green.
    Any ideea?

    Hello Jtan
On the second link in my post you will find this page

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...58&postcount=3

If this is your board, you will see a black cylindrical fuse marked BEL T2A, on the top, with the board No F601 next to the power connector No CN601,

The other fuse looks similar to a resistor only its black also, and is found by the the right side of large transformer, just above the blue capacitor, it has Bel 4A on it, and board mark of PF703,

    davmax,

Thanks for your hard work in figuring out what's wrong with these BenQ LCD monitors! I followed the discussion in this thread and...

I just successfuly repaired a BenQ T701 a few minutes ago!

The hardest part was getting the bezel apart .

    Thanks again, everyone!

    Hello afo
Im sorry but your post I quote,

(not sure if anyone is even reading this, but i have now replaced the 6 components (3x 5707's, 2x9024's and 3A fuse) and re-soldered the transformer legs.)

says ONE transformer to me and does not mention the TWO inverter transformers, so there was misunderstanding, sorry about that

UL-94V-0 is a tag that says the PCB substance met the inflammability that it snuffs out by itself when heat source is removed. Same for the components as well.

This is major reasons this prevented so much fires when a part or circuit board burns out.

I have seen results of burn craters (as in complete burnt through) in the circuit boards when this happens.

    Cheers, Wizard

The aboye 2 links may help

The resoldering of inverter transformers seem to be your issue, it may take out a 2sc5070 again, also check whole board for cracks in solder joints some are hairline, use about 8 x magnification,I spend a good half hour or more looking, you will find some.
    Good luck bob
thanks for your reply Bob, however if you look here:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...&postcount=165

...you'll see that I did re-solder the joints but the problem has arisen again - hoping someone can comment on further possible causes.

    thanks

is it likely that i need to put in the extended 'protection' mentioned in this thread, or does only a few days of usage imply other problems?! as previously mentioned, there were no bulging caps on the board at the time i did the first repair.

    Re: Fix for Benq FP737s 17" (Q7T3)

Hi everyone i am very new to this and My father-in-law is an electical enginare. He is teaching me some things. I was hoping someone had a skematic for this board so he can go more in depth with fixing this moniter. I have look everyplace I could on my own and came up short. Any help would be great.

When I first got the moniter it would power on but no back light. I could only see an image if it was plugged in to computer and at the right angle.

We so far have found that the bel 3a fuse is bad and 1 of the c5707s are bad.

Just to see what would happen we pulled the bad trannie and used a jumper for the fuse .

We were only able to get the Benq splash for about 2 sec and then it would go into standby. This is differant then what first was happening, as before the moniter would stay on just no back light and I never saw the benq logo. The only way to see anything was to have it plugged into the computer.

We are going to replace the trannie with a TIP3055 thats what i could find localy and I think we will just for now replace the bel fuse with a slow burn glass fuse and holder to see if that will realy solve the problem.

This is realy fun let me know what you think about what we are attempting and I will let everyone the results.

Thanks for this thread its awsome.

davmax, just want to say a big thanks for your input. I have a faulty 17" FP737s (QT73) monitor. I have a bit of experience and can fix most monitors myself, but this one had me stumped. I had replaced the transistors (Q739, Q740, Q759 and Q760) but still not working. Replaced IC751 and a few other sus parts, including most of the caps, but still not working. I was just about to give up and chuck this monitor when I thought I would have a search on the net.

I found the site, read your posts about the problem causing transistors and then read about the FUSE (PF751 on my board). Because it looks like any other capacitor on the board I completely overlooked it. I will have to get a fuse next week, but Im sure that Im going to have this LCD working again (thanks to yourself).

Just want to say thanks again. Your work is really impressive and I hope that one day Im as good a tech as yourself.

All the best to you and your family, you made my day!

thanks to the contributors of this thread who pointed me in the right direction from their work.
Yes well done afo. Just read thread today. Your original meter reading description indicated transistor failure. Glad you fixed it so quickly with parts kit.

Extending the ribbon cable is not a great idea as you no doubt concluded.

I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

I have a tripp-lite aspint 3636vr inverter charger which blow some of mosfet transistors. I replaced them repaired also the driver circuit and tested but the mosfets burn again.

It work very well as inverter and also as charger if I let the rear switch in auto mode (inverter) and charger only(charging) but in auto when I connect the feed line 220V AC first time it pass ok to line and start charging the batteries but when I remove the feed line it pass to inverter mode and if I do it again the second time when passing from charging to inverter the Main transformer start making a...

For some reason I'm just not going to let this 19" TV defeat me. I guess because I have a schematic to work from I feel like I'm oh so close.

History- while adding a turn-on circuit I let a small screw roll under the power board. Worked through all of that circuitry, probably replacing a MOSFET and PWM controller that were not bad but I was following the service manual. Finally figured out that the power supply is in working order when the inverter section (for the backlights) is disconnected. When the +12 supply to the inverter is disconnected the +12 and +5 will come up...
