Re: Viewsonic VA721 LCD - Power and Inverter Board
I was given the same moniter. When I cracked it open I found 5 bulged and leaking caps.
c822 1500uf 16v
c823 470uf 25v
c824 1000uf 10v
c825 470uf 16v
c903 470uf 16v
I could find them all localy except one the 1500uf v16 so I replaced it with a 2200uf 16v I was not sure this would work but I figured i payed nothing for the moniter and I realy wanted to see if I could actuly get it fixed. This was the first time I have done any soldering. well it worked just fine. I don't know...

Cap series? voltage?
Do you have to replace a cap with the same series or can i replace an EB series cap with a FC series cap?
If I cant find the right voltage do I use the closest one up or lower?
If I neet to replace a 16v and only can find 10v or 25v what one would i use?

Re: Fix for Benq FP737s 17" (Q7T3)
Thanks Bob,
I am still intersted in the skematic so that I can learn more using this board as a teaching aid. I will get the kit after I test to see if what we fould was the problem.
Thanks again

Re: Fix for Benq FP737s 17" (Q7T3)
Hi everyone i am very new to this and My father-in-law is an electical enginare. He is teaching me some things. I was hoping someone had a skematic for this board so he can go more in depth with fixing this moniter. I have look everyplace I could on my own and came up short. Any help would be great.
When I first got the moniter it would power on but no back light. I could only see an image if it was plugged in to computer and at the right angle.
We so far have found that the bel 3a fuse is bad and 1 of the c5707s...Last edited by vinbar1; 01-17-2009, 02:35 PM.
