Mag 780 LT1776s not working then works then not

Black sreen when on w blinking power light. No functions from Menu.

So, I disassembled it & saw no visible defects. Reassembled & read voltages at inverter connection w vga connected & PC on:

    Connector voltages:
    Pin1: 0V DC
    Pin2: 0V DC
    Pin3: 2.68V DC
    Pin4: 3.67V DC
    Pin5: 12.0V DC
    Pin6(red): 12.0V DC

Viola! The monitor works again. Upon reassembly, black sreen when on w blinking power light. No functions from Menu.

    Connector voltages:
    Pin1: 0V DC
    Pin2: 0V DC
    Pin3: 2.69V DC
    Pin4: 0V DC
    Pin5: 12.21V DC
    Pin6(red): 12.21V DC

Any suggestions on where to start?

Can a schematic of the main board for the circuit to the lead for #4 pin be provided?

Is there any labelling on the board next to pin 4 to indicate what it may do?

A quick look online doesn't turn up any schematic. But sometimes the boards are re-used in multiple brands\models. If you post the board numbers we might get lucky.

You might also want to check for bad solder joints around the connecting cables and on the board in general. If it randomly works and doesn't work, a loose connection somewhere is a high possibility.

Pin 3 and pin 4: One of them is for backlights dimming control signal, another one is for the BL_ON signal which will be present when it detect the VIDEO signal from the PC.
You can verify pin 4 when the monitor is apart and see if it goes high when it is connected to the PC and goes low when the PC is disconnect (the monitor goes into standby so the backlights are turned off), you may have to wait a few minutes after the PC is disconnected.

Number on main board is 200-100-SH770 rev 4. Attached is a service manual for the Proview 770 with circuit diagrams, etc. for the same main board. Don't know if the inverter board is also the same because I can't see the numbers on the inverter board in the photos

If U2 the SyncMOS SM89516C25J, then no.

PLCC parts usually start with Pin 1 in the center of one side (indicated with a dot) - in this case just above the 'M' in SyncMOS. Pin 2 will be the next pin to the left, and Pin 44 will be the next pin to the right of Pin 1.

See the attached datasheet, page 2, for the pinout.

Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing. O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                      by rounin
                      Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                      🛠 Original Issue
                      The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

                      Hello mates,

I bought this subwoofer a few days ago used and blind and it works erratically, as far as I could see, it has been tampered with, the speaker is not the original one and of 8 Ohm when it should be of 4, and there are some welds like reworked by the boards.

It doesn't have much power (expected more from it) and it distorts if you increase the volume over the middle, maybe it's because of the high impedance of the speaker. The problem is that it has sound when it wants, the led panels all work correctly, you can hear the power relay on power on, but right now...

a2141 820-01700 internal display not working / external works
                      by eurowill
Hey ya'll this is my first post on here. I recently aquired a used/broken 2019 mbp 16 a2141 with the 820-01700 board. Seller told me that the laptop needed a new lcd. However upon doing some troubleshooting i found out the lcd is fine.

Laptop boots like a normal, plays chime, touchbar lights up however there is no image on the internal lcd. If i connect and external monitor while its already on, nothing happens and no image is displayed on external. However if i restart or boot the machine while its plugged in, the external then works and a backlight is now visible on the laptop....

EIZO CX270 - No signal but Backlight and Panel works, logo works, admin menu works. OSD doesn't. What?!
                      by vf fa
Hi, so i guess I´ll have to make a new topic here, as i browsed through hundreds of other threads but couldn't find a solution to my problem yet.

I got a EIZO CX270 from a friend. He said it doesn't work anymore and wont display any signal or take any OSD inputs. Well, as an aspiring photographer I couldn't say no, could I? Thought it was an easy game, replace a bad cap and have a working monitor. But nooope, it wasn't supposed to be this easy.

So let me start with the problem description. I'll try my best not to skip anything so this might get rather long.
