    Lenovo 215wa Intermittent Power Issue

I have a Lenovo 215wa LCD Monitor that has recently gone on the fritz. Started shutting itself off after being on for different amounts of time (>5 hours - <10 minutes).

Screen shows no issues when it is working, no lines or picture distortion, has a really nice picture.

After checking all external video and power connections, I immediately dissembled the monitor to take a look at the internals. My first thought was that it is probably a capacitor issue. I was kind of annoyed to not find a single leaking capacitor on either the driver board or the power supply board. I was hoping that the fix would be easy.

I've been reading up on this forum and other places online about similar-ish problems and I decided to replace all of the capacitors on the power supply board and on the driver board. I ordered more than enough of each of the required value capacitor of eBay from HK. All of the values were the same voltage as the one they were replacing with either the same, or a higher capacitance.

Pictures of both the power supply and of the driver board plus all of the model/serial numbers from both of the boards.
    Power supply:
    - 715G2816-3 (printed top side of board)
    - sms -1 94V0 0923 (printed on top side)
    - s/n: 1308792P1075 (sticker on bottom)
    - (O)8C42AL1P (sticker on bottom)

    Driver Board:
    - 715G2883-1-6 (printed top side of board)
    - sms-5 94V0 0923 (printed on bottom)
    - s/n: 1308792C0960 (sticker on bottom)
    - (T)GJCB LH001 (sticker on bottom)

I measured the resistance on all the transformers, inductors, and resistors and they all looked good. So if I replaced all the capacitors and if the resistances seemed close to either what is stated on the board or based off of component datasheets what else could be the culprit? Any input on my problem would be greatly appreciated!

"Started shutting itself off after being on for different amounts of time (>5 hours - <10 minutes). " So when it does that, does the LED power change to Amber like it went into standby or it acts like the power switch is turn off?

If as asked by budm, the led does not change to amber, but stays as recognising the PC signal, then would plug in a test set of lamps ,probably in the top socket first, leaving the original bottom set in, and run the monitor and see if it stays on..if it still has the same fault, then put the test pair in the bootom sockets and the original back in the top and run it again.......hopefully you have a set of test Backlights !!!

Good question budm, sorry I didn't add that in right off the bat. The power LED goes straight from Blue (on), to completely off (No LED).

This actually reminds me, there was a moment when my problems started happening that the LED was showing a very odd color of blue, it was like it was sort of a white-blue color. This happened, and then the monitor shut off. I am certain it didn't do this the first time I had a problem more likely it was 4th or 5th time I had a Problem.

            Edit:
I just saw the links under your post for testing the inverter and the voltage regulators. I will dig more into that hopefully this weekend when I have a study break. I probably wont be active much for the next week as I have exams.

I was actually reading a sticky on Badcaps last night that recommended trying a different lamp. The problem is I don't have any spare lamps sitting around and if I did I wouldn't know if they are compatible or not. I will add pictures of the LCD itself and of the lamp once I get the time. Thanks Rtech.
