Re: dell 2007 WFPb monitor ,no lights

    thank you selldoor,
yes i made sure there was an image from the cpu, looking at it in the good monitor and then hooking it up to the bad monitor.
i did an extra test ,just to make sure i had a good working backlight,=.
i followed a test shown on one of you guys thread and it worked like a charm.
i am attaching pictures of it.
i tried it the same way before and i got nothing, zero, zip.

My god... i'm understanding few of this thread then, i guess.. it seems (but you can explain it better) that you have done the budm's old CFL test, i see only light, no lamp but since there are connection with ades. tape... it seems so, then is that what you meant when you've said "now backlight works" after you replaced that cap on main board.. now i have told it many posts ago, i suspect bad lamps but you don't want to follow my directions.. so when you decide to do them i'm here...

Re: dell 2007 WFPb monitor ,no lights

                    thanks davi,
the lamps i use to test the backlight are bright ,and that is why you can not see them.
but that does not matter right now.
i am sure now that we have the voltages we need to have a good backlight.i didnt have them before .
in one of the test points i had 0v,and after i did the replacement of the cap then i had 3.3 volts there and that is when i had a steady backlight.
i soldered 2 outside lamps to confirm and make sure the backlight voltages were all there and the lights are bright ,the tape is so i can connect and remove the lamps quickly, and so i dont touch the wires and they dont short out to the chassis or any part of the unit.
i am taking into account ALL sugestions, dont take it personally.
i suspect the lamps still almost gone and i am asking EVERYBODY to give me some input about that, that includes you and everybody else.
right now the problem is,i do not see any data on the screen.
                    i made sure i had a display with a cpu connected .
i shinned a flashlight to the screen, sideways, frontways and i see just the backlight.
your advise is always welcome, everybody's advise is.
                    thank you.keep posting

Check the SMD fuse on the T-CON board, see if it has either 5V or 12V on both ends of the fuse.

ok,the fuse its open, its labeled F1 ,it has the letters FK on it.
is that the rating,or value of the fuse?
                                    what can i use?
there is another fuse labeled FB2 ,that one is ok.
correction it has the letters TK.
sorry my eyes are not the greatest anymore.

FB = Ferrite Bead, it is an inductor, not fuse.
What DC Voltage do you get on one end of the fuse?

                                            Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice or opinions on what to do with a monitor issue I’ve run into. Apologies in advance is this crossovers a few forum categories.

I have a Dell U3425WE, which I've recently replaced with another model. That said, the original unit is still fully functional in terms of the display — it works perfectly over HDMI and DisplayPort. However, the USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 ports have stopped functioning correctly. The Issue:
                                            • The 90W Thunderbolt 4 port (circled in the photo) no longer charges or powers any device, including laptops or MacBooks.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?

My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                                            by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...

                                            Hello everyone,

I have been having some difficulties reviving an old Dell 2408WFPb PC monitor that I received for free. When I first acquired it, the backlights of the display were on but alas no image was showing. After extensive research on the topic, I went ahead and purchased a new t-con board for the monitor. After installing the board, I was then presented with a new screen that was half black and half green (more so black). I have been unable to figure out what to do next as I have limited knowledge of display electronics. Might anyone on this forum have an idea of what may...

Dell 34 inch U3419W Monitor with thin stripes on partial screen
                                            by ChristianBr01
                                            Hello everyone,
I have a Dell U3419W Monitor that has some thin stripes on a part of the screen since Tuesday.
This lines cover about a third of the screen and appear for 2 seconds before disappear for another 2 seconds.
This repeats the whole time. I have not opened the case yet cause I had no time, but will try to fix it on this weekend. For me, it looks like a problem on the TCon... Am I right?
Does someone have seen this before?...
