Well, it worked until yesterday and now it comes on with the blue lights and goes off shortly after with no signal going orange. I dont know what else it could be, it worked for a month and now iam in the same boat, any suggestions would be helpful.

That sounds like it goes into standby mode (LED turns orange) due to no video signal possibly, did you check the video cable, try it with another PC?

You never specified what brand and series of caps you ordered. In addition, did you change out ALL the electrolytic caps or just the bloated ones?

Thanks for the reply, i checked my computer with another monitor and it worked fine. I didnt try the monitor on another computer as it was easier to try another monitor with the tower. Do you think i should at least try it?

I dont recall as i purchased them online through one of the links provided on your post in which one of the badcaps guys informed me to follow and look at in regards to and before i had changed them out.

Here is the link i found; https://www.hobbymods.com/store/inde...tor-parts.html

I only changed out the bloated ones, i didn't feel it necessary to changing them all out, but apparently i should have instead of just the bloated ones.

Hi - I dont really understand the way you are thinking?

The first half of this thread you seem to put off taking any sort of action until you think you understand the problem.

You take for ever to post pictures despite many requests
You say "ill be taking hi-rest images" then post pictures that are really very poor.

              And yet you did this:

i bought an entire set through some of the recommended site everyone had referenced

There are very few people who regularly contribute to this forum who would recommend that action unless you lived in a country where nothing else was available.
Perhaps you could update your profile with country and voltage?

Entire set? What about the ones not included? what make? what esr?. Did you make sure when you put the new caps in you put them in the same way around as those that came out?
You also said some caps were "loose" what did you do about that?

I suggest you start again and take decent photos of both sides of your boards - get them as near to 2mb as you can so we can see the detail.
They should look like these examples of what is needed.

If you can, post a second picture and mark on it the caps you replaced
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

                  Retiredcaps,

You never replied to my post reply, since my last conversation hasn't gone as i would have liked. I discovered that i used less than good caps, instead i contacted digikey/Panasonic caps and requested the ones that i needed and i replaced them all. Unfortunately, while i can get it come on all the LEDS no screen, it is black and stays black and the on LED goes to orange after some time. I wish to continue trying to fix this monitor, however iam lost and not sure which way to go at this stage. Any helpful information would be welcomed.

Currently: I ordered and replaced all caps on the power-board and that of the inverter board as i noticed two bulges on it.

Further, i receive sound and the blue LED light comes on, after a few seconds it goes to orange. No logo, just a black screen.

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

                    Hi Everyone

Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.

                    Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

Looking through my repair pictures and notes, it's been a long time since I posted anything in the LCD monitors section. So here goes that.

I'm dedicating this thread to one of the very first LCD monitors I repaired (if not the first one), which was more than 10 years ago now. The monitor is a Wise Wing, model F199. It's a 19” CFL-backlit LCD. I got it for free off of Craigslist in 2009 from a guy, who said he bought it for cheap from Wallmart and the monitor worked only for a little less than 2 years before quitting.

When I saw the Craigslist post, I wasn't...
