Unfortunately, while i can get it come on all the LEDS no screen, it is black and stays black and the on LED goes to orange after some time. I wish to continue trying to fix this monitor, however iam lost and not sure which way to go at this stage. Any helpful...

I dont recall as i purchased them online through one of the links provided on your post in which one of the badcaps guys informed me to follow and look at in regards to and before i had changed them out.

Here is the link i found; https://www.hobbymods.com/store/index.php/gateway-fpd2485w-lcd-monitor-repair-kit-fix-broken-capacitor-parts.html

I only changed out the bloated ones, i didn't feel it necessary to changing them all out, but apparently i should have instead of just the bloated...

Thanks for the reply, i checked my computer with another monitor and it worked fine. I didnt try the monitor on another computer as it was easier to try another monitor with the tower. Do you think i should at least try it?

Well, it worked until yesterday and now it comes on with the blue lights and goes off shortly after with no signal going orange. I dont know what else it could be, it worked for a month and now iam in the same boat, any suggestions would be helpful.

    Greetings all,

I have successfully changed out all the damaged capacitors and replaced them all and the Monitor is once again working. Ill update in a few days if anything comes up, but i suspect that nothing will.

I was afraid of that, any good information or good pics in putting it back on? It seemed as if there is no place to place it, as it seems as it was just stuck to the lead. I would appreciate anything you can help with....

Thank you so much for replying, it is much appreciated and your explanation. As well, when i took the monitor case apart it had pulled the sensor wire off of the case wire, how is the best way to reattached? Iam heading to my inlaws to use a meter on them. Give update soon...

Not a problem, when i boot up my PC in the morning it is coming up from being asleep. The PC comes up fine, i wait a few secs to wait for the PC to boot up, then i hit the power button. At which time all the LED lights come on as normal when turning on the monitor. Within a few secs, the logo appears, and goes off, while all the LED lights go out, except the menu button and the power button but that is normal. So i wait a few seconds and try and again and it does the same thing, instead this morning i unplugged it to bring...

Jont, thank you for answering my post. When the LCD goes dark, the panel is still active, on the two normal, which shows the power button and the menu button both blue and active while the others that come on during power up go off in normal manner. I hope that clarifies....
