Are these Jamicon caps OK! Do they have a decent reputation? I ordered some 6800uf, 63volt,105c caps from WES components and this is what they sent me,I'm going to put them into a Sherwood RD6405 surround sound 5.1 amplifier 125wpc.What do you think?

Re: Jamicon capacitors any good?
Fine for general purpose uses. Audiophiles may have a fit though. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Jamicon capacitors any good?
Actually I was putting feelers out for people who have used them more than anything. I have read the data sheet but it doesn't say what they sound like? As for audiophiles, they can have a fit because a lot of the time they don't know what they are talking about because they are preyed upon by unscrupulous manufactures and dealers of pseudoscience, which they take to be fact. Anyway that's my take on it,coming from nearly 50 years of building and repairing Amplifiers and general consumer electronics.HP P6-2203a desktop,AMD CPU A8-5500 with Radeon HD7560D,3.20Ghz. Re: Jamicon capacitors any good?
I seem to have some faith in Jamicon units.
With the units from WES, I cross-referenced Jamicon WL (3000H) with Chemi-Con LXV, Jamicon TK (2000H) with Chemi-Con KMQ (radial), Jamicon HSW (2000H) with Chemi-Con KMH and Hitano EXR (2000H) with Chemi-Con SXE.My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.Comment

Re: Jamicon capacitors any good?
OK that's good enough for me Japlytic coz after all its the user of these products that has the last say in the matter and the most important,I'm sure if there was just a hint of badness about them I would have heard by now.Cheers.HP P6-2203a desktop,AMD CPU A8-5500 with Radeon HD7560D,3.20Ghz. Re: Jamicon capacitors any good?
They don't take heat too well... Ive seen quite a few roasted in bestec PSUs (granted, other desing faults were involved).sigpic

Re: Jamicon capacitors any good?
I fished quite a few bad ones out of DJ CD-players (those rackmount double deck ones) with linear PSUs.
Four Jamicon 25V 2200uF IIRC. Issues were that the player had a mind on its own.. Like randomly stopping playback (or not finding tracks), pitch control going bonkers or not "starting up" properly (turned on with a blank LCD and didn't respond).
Those caps had basically no capacitance left. And the player wasn't exactly hot-running.Comment

What was the temp spec on the failed Jamicons, 85c or 105c or both?HP P6-2203a desktop,AMD CPU A8-5500 with Radeon HD7560D,3.20Ghz. Radeon HD 6670.8Gb Ram.2TB HDD. WIN 10 64 bit O/S.Comment

by dragon3xHi, I have some 32 bits computer motherboards that need repair, as they fail to
power on.
Here are some examples :
(N.B. "capacitors" indicated here are electrolytic capacitors located in the onboard
switching supply area).
(N.B. #2 : I could not find a 3300 microF aluminum-polymer with a higher voltage
than 6.3 V.)
1 - Motherboard #1 : this is an Asrock K7VT2 (socket A) that still works well. To put it on test
I replaced capacitors with aluminum-polymer.
3300 microF/6.3 V. x 4 replaced by 3300 microF/6.3 V. (KYOCERA... -

by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by CartelI need to replace some caps in a ameritron al1200 and it has CDE screw type with .504" spacing.
I seen these: ALS30A221DE500
Its a bit steep and 200cad for 8
I also seen these: ALC40A221EC500 for half the price.
I'm not sure if the snap-in leads will work in this situation.
Any opinions of kemet and any advice on the fitment?
stock photo of the board I have to work with below.
thanks
