Am I going to damage my Receiver without running my 6 ohm Speakers in Parallel?

Using speakers rated for less than the amps actual output is inherently stupid and that's all there is to it.

Um, running 2x 6 ohm speakers in parallel means impedance is 3 ohms = more difficult load = not good. Series i think is what you were thinking about.

Even if the receiver is only rated for 8 ohm operation, 6 ohm speakers are going to be okay, especially since you're going to be using just two channels. I wouldn't try it with 4 ohm ones though.

Do I need to run these in series then to be on the safe side?

You guys have already spent too much time on this topic. The people that don`t understand this keep buying speakers and amps (good for the economy).

I have never ruined good speakers with a good amp!

Locked Setup Fails to Unlock with Correct Password - Inspiron 11 3185
                      by Modify_inc
I have a Inspiron 11 3185, and in the BIOS setup under Security it shows "Locked Setup", which limits pretty much everything in the BIOS. I'm using bios-pw.org to generate the codes for the hash, but they never work for the Locked Setup password. The codes generated for the System password and the HDD password work fine, but the code for the Locked Setup password always fails. I don't understand, if it works for the first two, why is it not working for the Locked Setup p/w? Since I can't disable it, anytime I reboot, even after a Windows update, I have to go through the hassle of generating...

KingWin ABT-650MM 650 Watt ATX PSU [PCB: SW8835REV:A]
                      by momaka
For today's thread, I have a KingWin ABT-650MM ATX PSU. Official web page with the PSU specs is still up and can be found here:
                      http://www.rmac.kingwin.com/products.../abt_650MM.asp

I just can't help it when I see a broken / for parts PSU on eBay that's listed for cheap and looks at least somewhat interesting. Well, OK, I won't lie – on the outside, this PSU looks anything but interesting. It's a plain gray box with colorful “spaghetti cables”.

What mostly drew me into buying it is its 2x PCI-E power connectors...

Add Stereo Input To Hi-Fi (Sony SONY PMC 107L)
                      by Tarot Superstars
                      Hi.
I bought a Cheap HIFI to use as my PC output and speakers and forgot to check if it had an input. It doesn't.

Is there any way to add a stereo input. I have a bunch of Phono sockets I am not using.
Where in the circuit is the best place to solder the 3 stereo input wires?

This is the model and schematics:

Did a factory reset and completed the initial setup process but now just freezes on 'Setup Complete' page.

Going into service menu it says 'Failure' at the top of the page and unable to access the 'control' screen.

                      Its already on T-HKM6DEUC1570.0 fw.
Are the SVC reset options likely to help here?
                      options are

After generating the Password Recovery code, I go to the “Security” tab - “Locked Settings” - it says “Unlock Settings? I tried many wrong passwords and it shows an error to unlock settings [ Press any key ].

                      I read the bios dump.
