I rocked the whole Neiborhood today with Metallica's Death Magnetic CD Never once did I drive them into distortion or clipping not with my 100 watt high performance receiver.

These 1970's Bic Venturi Series Formula 2's can sound amazing with music like Jackyl,Metallica,Black Sabbath, Did I say Velvet Revolver Libertad CD? All my cd's are played through a Highend Model Teac CD Player an older Single Disc Model.Leave a comment:

Truth is my understanding is that you are more likely to damage speakers from distortion and too little power rather than too much power. Bic Makes high performance Loudspeakers. there is glue on the woofer and some great big Styrofoam thing that I can't figure out what it is? Dustcap? Well I have no plans to use all 5 Channels I just have it hooked for 2 Channel Stereo Music Listening. So is it too much power for these speakers even in Stereo Mode? Can you guys help me research it I'm a little confused. any kind of Overload Protection Circuit Breakers built into these Speakers? An old pair of HH Scott Speakers I had once did.Leave a comment:

I just discovered today that both of my HT Receivers are Dolby Digital and have DTS Digital Surround. One is a Yamaha RX-V363 which I only paid about $220.00 at bestbuy in 2008 which was 4 years ago. My other HT Receiver is the much more exspensive Kenwood VR-309 at an MSRP of $400.00 in the year 1999. I bought this one used. -

Sorry but I really don't understand I'm a Complete Novice when it comes to hooking up Graphic Equalizers. I would assume that Monitor is for Video. Wouldn't it make more sense to plug it into the Tape/MD Input and then turn the Monitor Key to the ON Position? Manual for the VR-309 Clearly States That the Monitor Key must be in the ON Position.Leave a comment:

Okay so I just purchased a Kenwood VR-309 Surround Sound/Stereo Receiver on ebay and it has the following inputs which I believe can be used for a Graphic EQ Tape/MD Play In Rec Out also has a Monitor Input. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I want to hook this up in a way so it can work with the whole setup Tape Decks,CD Player ETC.

Kenwood VR-309 Going Strong
Hi I'm a New Member here I recently purchased a Kenwood VR-309 off of ebay and when I played it yesterday it ran really hot to the touch so this afternoon I called kenwood changed some settings under menu settings and turned off all the surround sound modes and any unused channels. Adjusted the distance of my Rear Surround Sound Speakers. (using them as mains) Everything is now PERFECT No more excessive heat build up and no longer getting hot to the touch.
