maybe it's an LM358 using a manufacturers prefix

It is the part number in the first line plus the second line is what you are interested nothing else would else is need because the rest of it is date code and or plant location

Which the data shows what you have it is the first one on the list

AS358M-E1 The only thing that is not on the ic chip is the “-“ which does not make a difference

The “E1” just means that it lead free

You are just going to have to wait there is a global ic chip shortage and there is no cure for this type crap issue but just wait

This company you are lucky that you were able to find the data sheet for this part number because a lot of there ic chip are not on the internet and find somewhere to find there chips are extremely hard to find

That's an SO-8 package, so you want the AS358MTR-G1. You could probably substitute an LM358 or BA10358 in the same package if they're easier to find.

The only question I have will this ic chip operated the same exact way or would have to modify the circuit for it work correctly

if it can be replaced with one of the ones you mentioned then maybe it will be easier to find in those circuit boards that I have

it's a very common chip, if you have scrap boards of any type you will probably find a few.

No it's an ic in a power supply to a tv Voxicon K550WDC2 for which I've opened a thread here in tv repair but no one wanted to help and as I think this part is broken

I do not go to the tv repair section very often so that is why I did not see it

Probably any company's __358 in the correct package should be OK. The LM356 has been around since the 1970s. There may also be an LM358A still on the market, an improved version, but the original is good enough that the improved version didn't displace it.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.
