    Lets play name this connector...

What is the official name for this connector so that I can buy the male end. I know I've seen similar ones on thinkpad LCDs.

Ok, to be specific the white connector at the top. I want to buy the male end that plugs into this. I don't know what its called (ie, RJ-45, DB-9). If someone knows what this style of connector is called.

What type/make board is that on?
              Dimensions? Width Height ?
              Contact pitch (center to center)?
              Brand/manufacturer marks or numbers anywhere?
              What does it mate to?
Can you show the matching connector?

they're the only mfg i found that makes right-angle connectors of that type.

don't know if the pitch is right.

Yes, right angle connector. It appears to be the Toshiba Mips JTAG port on the bottom of an Cannon HV20/30 logic board. It has no noticeable markings that I see.

These connectors are so small that they typically may only have a graphic symbol on it that's all. I'd say Kikkoman has found it for you.

                      Here is from Digikey catalog:

Has 60 pins, connector only has 20. I'll have to email them and ask if they make one like that.

They only have the 60 position in the JMC series. (non-stocked)

Do a DigiKey search on: JMDSS
Then check mark the "In Stock" box and select 20 in the "Number of Positions" below that.

Perusing those results yields this as a possible candidate:
                          http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...=455-1894-1-ND

Review the JMD datasheet info to verify the size.

                          Minimum quantity is 10 @ $1.31100 or $13.11

Thanks. I'll measure and see. It might be a pain to solder wires to the male because of the SMD mount but at least we have a candidate.
