This transistor is no longer available and most all on the net (ebay etc) are fakes. I think NTE 374 is the closest equivalent. Can someone experienced please confirm this is a good choice?

Re: 2sb649a
Well.. that's the problem.. I don't have the experience to know which parameters don't matter and which do. Some of the parameters of the KSA1220A are spot on, others vary.
The service manual is on this very site..

Re: 2sb649a
Yeah looks like regulator, circuit seems to imply that you only need to match physical constraints, voltage differential constraints, and current flow capacity; most transistors should work fine. I'd agree a very inexpensive tip32 series would be an "overkill" if it will fit there (TO-220 is bigger than TO-126) but probably would be more comfortable with a TIP32C with its 100V rating to get a bit more voltage margin.
Also keep in mind that the pinout is "backwards" so if you need to attach to a heatsink, TIP32C won't work unless you face it in the "wrong" direction. I personally would try to jury rig it to fit at least, not sure about othersLast edited by eccerr0r; 09-11-2019, 09:38 AM.Comment

I have looked at datasheets for NTE374 and 2SB649A. Unless I am missing something they look identical. The only downside is it means an extra 15 quid delivery with farnell because it is special order (from US).
I guess I would rather replace like with like. But I am interested in knowing what parameters I can ignore.
Why does everyone seemingly hate NTE?Last edited by ChaosFlower; 09-11-2019, 09:53 AM.Comment

Re: 2sb649a
Did you verify that Q713 and Fusible resistor R723 are still OK?
So is the 2SB349A shorted out or what?Attached FilesNever stop learning

Re: 2sb649a
Suffice to say yes, so far Q713 is shorted. R717 is cooked.Last edited by ChaosFlower; 09-11-2019, 01:11 PM.Comment

by karloxGood evening, colleagues.
Does anyone know an equivalent or a compatible replacement for the uP9002P IC (power controller)? Alternatively, does it come under any other marking or code on different boards?
Any insight or cross-reference would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!09-01-2025, 08:43 PM -
by peter_wheatHi All,
I'm looking for a SMPS flyback transformer TAM TO-5622, or equivalent, or any information on it? Company is Tamura Corp (https://www.tamuracorp.com). It has Primary, Secondary, and Auxiliary windings. Have emailed the company, but no info back yet. It is out of a Makita DC24SC battery charger.. This transformer has a burnt out the primary (caused by a failed MOSFET). Secondary, gave me a reading of 0.49 Ohms, and Auxiliary a reading of 0.93 Ohms. I took it to bits, thinking I might try and re-wind it, but it was more complex than I realized, and had difficulty removing... -

by magnehHello everyone
Got a motorbike PCB that had 3 burned diodes.
The smaller ones have the marking PJ78 GS1M
And one larger one PJ78 GEX
Can someone help me identify them so I can be able to replace with same or equivalent?
Photos attached
Apreciate !
Thank you... -
